How has this affected you? I assume this must come as a great shock.

...It is a great shock. You'd think that such a thing...But no. It's just that simple for them...

[Which means it's going to be damned difficult. Perhaps if they go for the technology first...? Hmm...]

[That actually startles a chuckle out of her.] Observant. But yes, I'm simply ruminating on the fact that the average person wouldn't be capable of such a thing, or that it'd take a great deal of effort to do so.

Meaning that either our captors aren't normal, or the technology they have is just that powerful. Either way, dealing with them is going to be more difficult than expected.

I thought the fact that the administrators weren't average people was at least somewhat obvious. They are administrators of a place like this, after all. It should go without saying that going against them will be difficult.
