To Drown Out

Characters: Enoch never intended it but, everyone who's up for drinking!
Setting: Cafeteria, throughout the day (sorry team indigo)
Format: Party, do what you want!
Summary: With Riki being generous with the food again, Enoch decides to see, first, if he can still get drunk at all, and second, if being drunk will help keep his new headmate quiet. A (not-so-) surprising amount of people are likely to be interested in drinking with him.
Warnings: Drunken shenanigans. Possible angst because he might actually talk about Eleven under the influence. Might also talk about gory details of the meeting with Ruana. Did I say drunken shenanigans? I think I need to say that again.

*Much like just before the glamour failure, Enoch sits with several bottles of red wine from the kitchen stock. Unlike then, he has no extra glasses out to share with. He is not drinking to a plunge into the unknown. He is drinking to drown things. Mostly, the voice screaming in his head.

But nothing really changes the fact that any modern wine is of much higher quality than anything his time could produce, and he's savoring its flavor too, in long sips. It's almost a distraction, itself.

Speaking of distractions, he certainly won't object to any company, and if it turns into a larger gathering he may get so caught up in it he'll forget how much he's had.

And so might you. Care to grab a drink for yourself? He won't mind if you ask for some of the wine he has.*

((ooc: Of course you can approach Enoch like any other log, but due to interest expressed this is actually more of a mingle! Start games and contests if you'd like or just hang out and have your characters get drunk or bodyguard or spectate. Please identify new games and contests in the header to make it clearer to people scrolling through! Naturally there can be several threads of the same game, considering this isn't organized at all.

That you do. It's a dessert with ice cream, a banana split in half, chocolate and fruit sauce and whipped cream and nuts and a cherry on top.

[They probably should. However, at the moment, Yotsuba was far from frightened. Her smile grew as she heard Lucifel describe this yummy dessert, and she now wanted to eat it with the Archangel.]

I don't know what whipped cream is, but that sounds suuper yummy, Luci! Can we eat that after we make milkshakes?!

We can have them before we make the milkshakes as well.

[Especially since Yotsuba, like most children, could and would make a mess in the kitchen when she was trying out new things.]

Oh! That's a good idea, Lucifel! Lets eat some yummy Banana Splits! Then we can make milkshakes!

[Not would it be new things only, but also finding out how a kitchen works for Lucifel. So this might be the better way.]

And if we can not make the milkshakes today, we have the whole month to do so.

That's true! We don't have any curry here, but we have yummy milk and milkshakes and Banana Splits!

While Yotsuba didn't know quite what Lucifel was getting at there, she just went along with it and kept on smiling.]

It does! Even though Daddy's curry isn't here, it's still really yummy!

[In a way it was. However, Yotsuba didn't know that, and since cake was the holy grail of all desserts, her eyes got wide and she looked up at Lucifel in amazement.]

There's cake here?! Where?!

The menu has it listed as dessert. Raspberry cream pie, spongecake and peach pie.

[It looks like someone has to tell her to check on the cafeteria menu.]

[Especially since she didn't know about the cafeteria menu. However, she did smile in excitement when Lucifel mentioned the other dishes.]

Yotsuba doesn't know what those are, but what menu?! And are those dishes yummy?!

Yotsuba has to make her own opinion if it's yummy?

[As yummy as glamour-filtered food can be.]

After all, what's yummy to Yotsuba doesn't have to be yummy to others. Everyone has a different taste.

[It would be nice if someone did. If they didn't, Yotsuba would be continually surprised by what she found. But that wasn't an entirely bad thing either.]

Oh..okay then! They all sound like yummy desserts though, so they should be yummy! Can we have them after the Banana Splits?

[Yotsuba, no. You can't just eat desserts all the time..]

Does Yotsuba know what's much better even? Having a different dessert everyday. That makes it even more special.

[So yes, they can have them after Banana Splits. But not today.]

Oh! Okay then! We can eat the rest later and have a lot of fun then! But we can have Banana Splits today!

Yay!~ Where are they?! Do we have to make them?! Can Yotsuba help?

Easy there Yotsuba. We don't have to make them. They're offered during dinner. We just have to make them if we want to eat them before dinner.

Oh..but weren't we going to eat them now? And can we eat dinner together, Luci?!

If they are there we can if not I'll see what they have there.

[About dinner though...]

From tomorrow on we can eat dinner together. But today I have to be Enoch's support and watch that he gets to bed tonight.

Okay then! I'm sure we'll find something yummy!

[At that, she gulped down the rest of her yummy milk and nodded.]

Okay. So that he doesn't do anything silly because of the beer! But can we all three eat dinner together tomorrow on?

I'm sure of that as well.

[Lucifel blinks a few times at her question.]

Exactly. I'm sure I can arrange that.

[It's not like Enoch would say no.]

[It was probably an odd question, but since Lucifel and Enoch were good friends and Lucifel was Enoch's support, Yotsuba thought that it would be nice if Enoch could join them too!

Especially since she knew Lucifel hadn't been feeling well. At the confirmation though, Yotsuba smiled brightly and threw her hands into the air.]

Yay!~ It'll be suuuper fun eating with you two! Yotsuba ate dinner with Daddy before, but..it feels a bit sad to eat yummy dinners alone.

[Not really, actually he had been about to suggest it to her as well. So that's why he was surprised.

Enoch could need this too. Neither of them had been feeling well. And it seems Yotsuba could need this as well.]

I'm sure that it will be fun. All of us eating together.
