[Christmas Party Log] || [I wish you a Merry Christmas~] || [Open]

Characters: Everyone ever.
Setting: Floor 38- On Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Format: Action or prose, whichever format you prefer.
Summary: CHRISTMAS PARTY! Now that the Jason!Flu is finally over, all the characters can celebrate Christmas in peace (nearly?) and eat some acceptable food that was cooked by the volunteers. The 38th floor is, as usual, the floor where the party happens and has been entirely decorated for Christmas. The Christmas Party will be open for Christmas Eve and the entirety of Christmas. For characters who wouldn't check this floor, the party has been advertised on the network.

As is usual with these party logs, it's free game! Feel free to post a mingle thread for your character as they spend time in the party or an activity (singing, dancing? playing game? gift giving? anything). Add to that, you're free to start as many threads as you want, be they open or closed! Please put in the header your character's name or the activity's name. If a prompt is closed, then please make sure to write it in the header too!

Warning: Fun times?

The lounge on the 38th floor has been entirely decorated with ribbons, tinsels, Christmas balls and many other things- All hand-made of course. The first thing that can probably be noticed upon entering is the majestic Christmas Tree sitting near the entrance, decorated as well and with wrapped boxes at its feet. There are a lot of empty spaces in the room for people to dance if so they wish as well as empty tables to organize games or sit down, in short everything needed to run an activity. Oh, and there is mistletoe hung at the floor's entrances. Nothing bad really.

Most important there is a lot of food in here, placed on a couple tables. Most of that food comes from the tower's restaurant-- Someone must have done a lot of work for the tower these last days. At least here and now you don't have to risk a limb to get some quality food. Aside from the restaurant food there are also cakes, yule logs as well as many cooked meats and fruits.

Last but not least, this floor isn't as cold here as the rest of the tower. There are a total of what appears to be four fireplaces (hand-made as all the other decorations) in the room, one against each of the walls with fires lit within them. Of course these are not exactly normal fires and a lot of resources and energy has been spent to make them so they will last for the entirety of the party- After this they will be unusable, but at least until then they will keep the room at a normal temperature.

Waver Velvet

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-25 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[Waver shows up on the 25th around noon, wearing a pretty cheesy Christmas sweater. He'd found it when he woke up that morning, addressed to him from Glenn and Martha Mackenzie...which still confuses him. How could he have suddenly gotten something from them when they were quite obviously not in the tower? It was pretty suspicious, so it took him a while to open it up, but once he did, it really looked like something Martha must have made. So as embarrassing as a Christmas sweater made by your "grandmother" is bound to be, he can't just not wear it...

Similarly with the party itself, he has to go to see what these party things are all about, though he tells himself he's only drawn to the warmth. He hasn't had cause to celebrate Christmas, or anything else for that matter, in many years. But opening himself up to new things is a lot of work, so he stands to the side, observing everything else. Probably taking advantage of real food too.]

[On Christmas Day, Waver will see a certain book girl running up to him, wearing a white dress, holding two books, and looking as happy as one can be in the Tower. When she gets up to him, she'll pause to catch her breath before handing the two books to him. They're copies of The Magicians Nephew and No Longer Human.]

Merry Christmas, Waver! How are you? Enjoying the party?!

[After regaining your senses and losing the voices in your head, one tends to be rather chipper.]
nonacquiescent: (temporarily; architects of the world)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-26 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah- these are for me?

[He takes a look at them, immediately recognising No Longer Human as the one she had told him about before.]

The Magician's Nephew...isn't this a children's book?
tohko_amano: (happy)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-26 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tohko nodded, the grin on her face growing larger.]

Yup! And while The Magicians Nephew is a children's book, it's still pretty delicious. Trust me, you'll enjoy it! At least..I think you will.
nonacquiescent: (I'm just waiting for)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-26 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't plan to eat it, but...

[He grins ever-so-slightly, it's not very often at all that Waver makes a joke.]

Thank you.
tohko_amano: (happy)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-26 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[And Tohko managed a light chuckle at that.]

Well, I imagine that there are several things that taste better for you than that. But you're welcome! I'm glad you like them.
nonacquiescent: doubled (before I could realise my age had)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-27 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Not so much lately, with those nutrition bars they've been serving.

[He rubs his neck.]

I wish I had something for you. The only book they gave me was The Iliad, but you've probably read that.

[And well, that copy's a bit special anyway.]
tohko_amano: (happy)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-27 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Tohko sighed.]

Ah, right..well, hopefully things will be better next month. If you want, I could hunt something for you and cook it.

[Tohko smiled at that.]

Ah, don't worry about it! I wasn't expecting anything in return. Plus, while The Iliad is probably pretty delicious, that book must be important to you if they gave it to you. I'd hate to take it from you.
nonacquiescent: (coming down from darkened heights)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-27 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no, don't worry about that. Rider has been taking me to hunt with him. ...And there's good food here.

Actually, the book is his too. Or, something he picked up, anyway.
tohko_amano: (Default)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-27 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
['Rider' left Tohko puzzled for a moment. Saber, Lancer, Alexander..Waver must have been talking about Alexander. She nodded.]

Well, that's good to hear. And I'm not surprised..he did tell me he loved Greek literature. You probably shouldn't give me that book then.
nonacquiescent: (as things come apart)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-28 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, he stole it from a library to begin with...
tohko_amano: (Laugh)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-29 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
[At that, Tohko couldn't help herself and she laughed a little bit.]

Well, you had better hold onto it then! I'm sure the librarians back in your world would want it returned.
nonacquiescent: (I'm just waiting for)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-30 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true, actually...

[He grins a little. As much as he had been furious at the time, looking back on it is something of a fond memory.

On the other hand does that mean Alexander is bothering unsuspecting nice people]

Wait, you know Rider?
tohko_amano: (Happy)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-30 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tohko grinned and nodded.]

Yup! He introduced himself as Alexander the Great..but 'Rider' is close enough. He seemed like a rather nice person who liked the library..even though he thought my title was odd at first.

[She was also on good terms with Lancer and taking daily fighting lessons from Saber.]
nonacquiescent: (and the lightships are sailing you)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-30 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
...That idiot just has to flaunt his name all the time, doesn't he...

[He grumbles.]

Yeah, he's Alexander the Great, 'Rider' is just the Servant class I summoned him as for that war.

[Wait, how much did he tell her about the Grail War? Did he get into Servants? He can't remember, but he hopes she gets the idea.]

Still, even if it's true, all the other Servants try to keep their names secret...

[Case in point, Lancer and Saber.]
tohko_amano: (droop)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-31 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Tohko looked a little bit puzzled at that.]

..I can see why revealing his name wouldn't be the smartest thing to do..but I don't think he was flaunting it.

[She then nodded.]

Ah, alright then! I suppose Saber and Lancer are just classes as well..and Lancer did tell me that the other Servants probably wouldn't like being asked about their true names. However..I have managed to figure out who Saber is..even if I'm not quite sure who Lancer is yet..
nonacquiescent: (now the lightships are guiding you)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-31 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
I've been wondering about that Lancer too, and Ruler... Saber was easy, Excalibur gave it away too easily, but then usually Noble Phantasms do that, so if I could see Lancer or Ruler's, it would probably be easy to figure out too...

[He's just sort of rambling to himself by now, and when he realises that, quickly cuts himself off.]

Anyway, he says he's not flaunting it, but he definitely likes to be recognised and praised. He seems to think it excuses everything he does.
tohko_amano: (Happy)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-31 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
...Who is Ruler? And what's a Noble Phantasm? A type of attack?

[Tohko doesn't mind rambling, as she did it herself sometimes back home, but she is curious. However, she does smile at that last comment.]

I can't tell yet whether he thinks it excuses everything he does..but I think he likes being recognized because he was such a popular king back then. I bet that, even nowadays, the urge to be loved and respected by everyone hasn't left him.
nonacquiescent: run away (if there's one thing I learnt it's to)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-31 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Uhh, Ruler is from the fifth war - I was in the fourth, so I don't know much about her, but I guess the church summoned her to be an overseer in their place. So I guess she's a neutral party who can be trusted by the church. She looks a lot like Saber, actually.

And a Noble Phantasm...yeah, pretty much. It's usually a weapon that's important to the story behind the Heroic Spirit... Rider's are his army and the bulls and chariot from the Gordian knot story. Things like that.
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-31 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Tohko nodded as she listened, trying to burn the information onto her brain.]

I see..maybe she's Joan of Arc then! After all, the two are a little similar.

[..Only in Tohko's head.]

I see..that sounds pretty powerful then. I guess the Servants try not to pull them out too often then..with the exception of Alexander.
nonacquiescent: (over the sea)

[personal profile] nonacquiescent 2012-12-31 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
...Joan of Arc? You think so?

[He turns the idea around in his head, considering it. It...makes sense, actually.]

They use up a ridiculous amount of mana, so they really can't use them too often. Not that Rider cared, you're right. He would summon the chariot any time we went anywhere at all! ...I don't even have enough to support his army.

[He's not entirely sure if he's feeling sorry for himself about that again or trying to say 'that's just how much of it you need', but...]
tohko_amano: (excited)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2012-12-31 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sure! After all, a neutral party that was trusted by the church sounds a little bit like Joan..and, if I remember the pictures, she's similar in appearance to Saber. It's possible!

[Tohko chuckled when she heard that.]

The king still can't get rid of his objects, huh? That makes sense. I think I can understand why. However..if you didn't have enough mana to support his army, how did you manage to summon it?
