Midsummer Bash
Characters: Lancer, the people he invited to the party, and everyone else who wants to stumble in
Setting: Floor 25, July 5, afternoon
Format: Open
Summary: Lancer throws a party for midsummer, since the Tower obviously needs a breather.
Warnings: None so far.
[To be honest, Lancer wanted to have the party in the evening, sometime around twilight. That would have been the most romantic time for it. Unfortunately, when in the Tower, one had to account for things like monsters. As a result, he had to hold it during the afternoon. But it wasn't too bad of a compromise.]
[This was, of course, a more simple affair than Diarmuid's birthday. For food, he had hauled a couple of tables up here and lined the table with dinner food. The centerpiece was a cake which had a heart drawn on it in red frosting. In one corner of the meadow, he had used some boxes and tarp to make some sort of booth where people could hide from the sun (and steal kisses off of each other). In the center of the meadow, he had piled a large stack of wood, perfect for lighting a bonfire by the party's end. The structures had all been surrounded with wreaths made from the meadow's flowers.]
[As soon as he's done with the setup, Lancer will sit down next to the firewood pile, waiting for people to come.]

He hasn't been spending much time around other people lately, having given up social interaction in favor of killing monsters following recent events, but he is nonetheless willing to speak to others.
He's not particularly friendly, or the least bit warm, but that doesn't stop him from formally inclining his head and addressing those he comes across.]
Hello.

[Claudia knows he isn't a normal child, but she speaks to him like he is regardless, leaning over slightly as she does so. The truth is, she's surprised to see him here, but she isn't unhappy about it.]
It's been a while since the last time I saw you. How have you been?

Mingling cheerfully enough, with the occasional glance over at the food table and its cake! If somebody comes over to him, the teenager has the good manners to nod a greeting. ]

[Lancer shoots the child a quick greeting.]
Someone bring you, or did you just follow your nose to the food?

He had, in typical Romeo style pushed the memories of his dead world out of his head and was just glad that Ruana's month was over and she wasn't hurting any of them any more.
So he went and found Ken and told him about the party and that they should go, he arrived pulling Ken along, Pinocchio on his head.
A flicker in the glamors as they entered the meadow spoiled the affect a bit but Romeo punched the air and smiled at Ken. "It looks really fun!"
A moment later he let go of his friend and pulled something out of his shirt. It was a puppet of Dike, spear in hand. "I missed your birthday because of the bad people but I had made you a present! So happy late birthday!"
no subject
"I didn't get you anything for your birthday... I'm sorry. But thank you very much."
He bowed his head a little, before reaching over to clasp Romeo's hand tightly with his free hand. It was the best he could do that wasn't really a hug.

He's glad to be here with Claudia, and he still feels warm and happy about the fact that they're dating, but he's more than willing to socialize with the other people here. It's nice, after all the recent stress, to see these people calmly enjoying themselves in the meadow.
He is self-conscious about his arm, which was removed at the elbow after he was attacked by a monster, but he's in such a good mood, he's hardly thinking about that, more than willing to smile and greet the others he sees. He never was very good at parties, but he thinks he might actually be getting better.]
Re: open
[Lancer's words catch in his throat.]
Kariya, what happened to your arm?

Sorry Kariya. Have another person staring at your arm... X.x
Those thoughts are pushed away, though, when he notices the state of Kariya's arm. His eyes widen and he pales slightly.]
Kariya! What happened? Did one of the monsters do that?

yay! for once Kariya doesn't have to talk about his arm!

[Diarmuid is, of course, referring to the 'blind date' his brother had set them both up on about a month ago. He hasn't had the chance to talk to Claudia since then with everything that has been going on, but he has gotten to talk to his brother about the blind date business and gotten him to promise to lay off on it.
Hopefully, it's a promise the other servant will remember to keep.]

While Tohko could have danced around the bonfire, she didn't want to trip and fall into the flames, and while she could have eaten..she..didn't quite feel like putting on the mask just yet. However, when she saw anyone, be it friend or random stranger, she would smile and speak to them.]

As the Archer glides past, a few feet away, he catches the man's eye and gives the other Servant a nod of his head.
His Master would most certainly prefer for him to have anything to do with the Archer-- but his Master is not in evidence, very likely having secluded himself nearby with his lady.]
