[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Characters: All the characters who signed up for this infiltration, too many to write them all here. Characters who stay behind and do not infiltrate can tag into the mingle thread.
Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

Warnings: Administrative floors, danger, death, horror. Anyone tagging here is probably going to die, or at the very least meet with a terrible fate.

[The catch is surprising but not unwelcome. Sheba had been fully expecting to fall the rest of the way down, and when Dark Pit grabs her, she gasps and nearly loses hold of Jonouchi's body.

She's hesitant to let go - what if dropping it causes it to hit someone? - but then Dark Pit yells for her to drop it as they start to slide down the cable towards Xion. Sheba grits her teeth and tosses the body, aiming to get it away from them. Between the cable swinging and her own lack of upper body strength, it may not be entirely successful.

Once the body is out of her hands, she grabs for the cable with her good arm.]

Th-thank you... sorry...

[Thankfully Xion was already clinging to the cable pretty tightly. Thus, when she feels another heavy force slam into the top of her head, her grip only slackens and she slides down a few feet herself. Still, she lets out a yelp of pain as the skin on her chest is rubbed even further, and she wonders if she'll have any skin left on her hands by the end of this.

Not to mention it doesn't help that now there are stars dancing in her eyes. Still, she manages to cling to the cable, for now]

[He had been clinging as hard as he could to the cable, and likely would have sighed with relief that the friend he's had the longest in the tower hadn't kicked him in the face as she kept clinging to the cable above him. That is, if they wouldn't keep shaking the damn cables with their continual allowing of the bodies hitting the floor.]

Fuck-!

[He yelps, clinging to the cable with his knees and feet even more now (this was going to suck later).

...Only after the pain subsides will he realize what the tower translation used for the word "kuso" that he just screamed.]

[The final body bounces once off the cables--just above Yu's head--slams into one of the closed elevator doors, and finally slides off the ledge, smearing it with blood before vanishing down the elevator shaft.

The cable is still swinging about; it will take a bit of time before it stops. The elevator shaft itself seems to be breathing, as well, with the walls rising and falling.]

[Xion clings to the cable, breathing heavily as she waits for her head to stop spinning, and the cable to stop swinging. Thankfully, both things seem to slow down at the same time, until she feels stable enough to look around. She first checks up and down, then looks around the elevator shaft itself.

They had to get to a door. Now, before anything else bad happens. She isn't sure how much longer she'll be able to cling.]

H-hang on. I'm gonna try to get to one of the doors.

[She looks down at Yu and then carefully shimmies down a couple feet, not enough to get too close, but enough that Dark Pit and Sheba aren't right on top of her.

They needed somewhere they could drop to - especially Yu, since his elbows were broken. She wasn't sure exactly how Ion and Luke were doing up there, but they were further up, and could lower themselves down. Of course, the landing immediately below Yu is slicked with blood now, which would make for dangerous landing.]

Yu... do you think you can slide down a little at all? Or do you think you'll fall if you try?

[He is more grateful than he ever thought he'd be about something ever when the cable stops swinging so much. He looks up at the others and, well... there went the dead people.

He has definitely been in the Tower and Inaba too long.

Yu nods at Xion's, not trusting himself not to accidentally let slip another swear as he lets himself slide down a little more before tightening his grip on the cable and cringing.]

[Xion slides a little with him, though she leaves a bit more of a gap this time. There. Now she should be able to get to the door under the bloody one. She hopes. It's a little higher than she'd like, but maybe that'd be better in the end. For Yu especially.]

I'm gonna try to jump to the door. The cable's probably going to swing again. I'm sorry.

[There's really only so much aiming that can be done. She faces the doorway and, after steeling herself for a few moments, leaps, using her feet to push off of the cable a bit, though of course it gives under her feet.

Thankfully she's pretty used to making some precise jumps back home, and even if she can only catch the ledge with her arms and hands, getting up from that position is something she's used to too.]

[The landing will be a bit rough, angled this way, and the ledge is barely large enough for one person to stand on flat against the door, but if Xion has good footing she should manage it.]

[It's probably the narrowest ledge she's ever had to land on, and she's terrified for a moment that she'll lose her balance, but she manages it, just barely.

Her heart is hammering, but, her cheek pressed flat against the door, she calls back to the others]

I-I got it!

[Now to check the edges of the doorway and the frame around it for any way to get the door open. Though, given how little room she has, she's not too hopeful.]

[The elevator doors are solid, but there is a seam where they're meant to open. It's thin, but something like a dagger could be shoved in the gap.

The elevator shaft begins to breathe more deeply.]

[The movement is jarring, enough that it's scaring Xion even more. She could still lose her balance at this rate. She runs her fingers along the seam, then edges a little to the side, fingers reaching to grasp the side of the frame. The smooth metal doesn't give much purchase, but it's better than nothing.

From there, she uses her other hand, her right one, to pull the Great Fairy's Sword that Link gave her around. It's an awkward angle - she has to stretch her arm all the way back to get the point aimed at the crack, but from there she pushes it, trying to wedge the point in.]

[The door opens slowly. Light pours out of the crack in the door--this area is obviously a currently-used area of the Tower. The floor is polished white. It looks a bit like a hospital ward.]

[As soon as there's a wide enough crack in the door Xion's hand leaps from the doorframe to the crack itself, and Xion leans heavily on the sword and uses its leverage to force the door open further.

Once it's wide enough that she can get her torso in there, she does so, using her back and feet to push the door open even wider, enough that hopefully the others will have enough room. She barely registers what's on the other side, except to note that it's - currently - empty. Once that's done, she steps back from the edge into the room itself.]

[Xion has opened the elevator door to a currently empty surgical ward, complete with perhaps a dozen currently empty holding cells. The lights are on, and they shimmer oddly, but aside from that there's nothing immediately dangerous.

As soon as Xion steps over the threshold into the room, her superhuman abilities return to her.]

[She drops the Fairy's Sword for the moment, noting that there's an odd tingling in her hand, the connection she normally associates with her keyblade. But it couldn't... She lifts her hand, and tries to summmon it - and it's there. She dismisses it after only a second, and looks back out at the elevator shaft and her friends still hanging there]

Hey, guys!

[She concentrates her energy, and after a moment releases a Curaga spell. She knows that the wind stopped when they passed the red ring earlier, but hopefully this time, given that Days-brand Curaga healed everyone in one's party, it would help her friends too. If it does work, it wouldn't set any broken bones, but it will probably take the worst edge of the pain off.

That done, she approaches the edge once more.]

I got the door open! Try to see if you can get down here!

[The light should make it easy to tell where to go at least]

[Xion will receive a fully powered Curaga, but the rest of the group will only have some pain relief and minor healing as long as they're still in the elevator shaft.

The elevator shaft seems to be gasping for breath at this point.]

[Dark Pit winces, and allows himself to slide down a bit so he's near the door. He then launches himself at the opening, pulling in his wings and not caring if he smashes into anything. As long as he gets in and doesn't kill himself on something, he'll be fine.]

[Next it's Sheba's turn - she shimmies down the cable, pausing every so often to readjust her grip when it seems like it's getting too loose. Once Dark Pit is out of the way and the path is cleared, she jumps for the ledge and the open door.

There's a slightly panicked look on her face, like she's afraid she won't make it, but she lands on the ledge and scrambles in through the door. Her arm is still killing her but she can't help the undeniable relief that courses through her once she's on solid ground.]

Whew... [Then she pokes her head out through the doorway.] Ion, Luke - we've got a door open! ...Yu, are you going to be alright while they get down here?

A-alright!

[Ion's shaking like a leaf by the time Sheba calls up to them. He had been so afraid that he would fall when the cable began to twist and jump underneath their holds, and he couldn't help but feel guilty seeing how much trouble it had caused them when he had freed himself.

If Sheba had fallen...

But she didn't fall. And he couldn't afford to think about that right now. Ion takes a deep breath, and begins to shimmy down the cable as the others have before him--if considerably slower as he tries to avoid the slick patches and keep himself from losing his grip and slipping entirely.]

I'll try to be quick!

[His tone is apologetic--he doesn't want to hold up Luke or anyone else. Eventually, he makes it down to where the door has been opened, and shifts his body to face it.

From here, the gap between himself and the door seems to go on for miles. Ion's heart is hammering painfully and erratically as he swings to get a bit more momentum, then jumps--

--and almost doesn't make it. His torso hits the edge and he scrambles in a panic with his arms to claw up into the opening. Fortunately, Sheba and Xion are both quick to grab him by his sleeves and pull him in the rest of the way.]

Thank you--I'm sorry...

[Feeling like he's made of jelly, Ion crawls on all fours until he has enough space in the door to wobble to his feet.]

[Luke's descent goes more slowly than Ion's does, as he has to deal with both the slick cable and having the use of only one arm. Not that he doesn't try to use said arm anyway, looping it partially around the cable as he goes down.

He stops above the doorway, waiting until there's no one in the doorway before he jumps. This jump is a lot safer than the last one, and he manages to make it in.

Doesn't quite stick the landing though, and stumbles as he lands, driving his injured shoulder into the doorway.]

Agh! Ow ow ow ow...

[Xion watches, her face getting more and more frightened as each of them leaps and lands in the doorway. Finally, Yu's the only one left.

Xion turns back to the others.]

Sheba, can you use that spell again? The one that let us float? Yu hurt himself falling past us and it might help him make it across.

[That being said, she turns back towards the empty doorway and tries to think of another way she can help. And with a sudden burst of inspiration, she throws herself forward against the ground, hooking her knees and ankles behind the elevator door, her head level with the edge of the platform. That way, if it looked like he might fall, she could try to catch him.]

Luke!

[She looks away from the Fon Master once Ion is safely up, and then Luke jumps - that didn't look pleasant at all. She goes to help him up, her expression concerned. Redheads needed to stop getting themselves hurt and killed in front of her.]

Are you alright?

[She looks to Xion when she speaks up and then nods. That easing of pain had probably come from her, then - that must be how she knows to tell her to use hover. Sheba stays in the doorway and closes her eyes before casting out her hands as she gathers her Psynergy.

I hope this works, she thinks, and that we can get him in here before whatever's making that breathing noise decides to swallow him up or spit him out. The strange noises the elevator shaft is making makes her nervous - it doesn't bode well for any of them, and the sooner they get somewhere safer (though Jason's lab may not be safe at all, and it may be more of an out of the frying pan and into the fire situation), the better.

The wind gathers around Sheba before slipping into the chute, and Sheba hopes desperately that her power is enough to help Yu make it to the door - or if not that far, within Xion's grabbing range.]

[He doesn't answer Xion, busy untying the fabric around the hand he can reach the best (well, what's left of the fabric) so he can bite down on it. The bit of pain relief helps, as he tries to climb a bit higher on the cables to give him just a bit more room to move. Who knows, it may even be the difference between life and joining their comrades below.

Once Luke is clear and the wind picks up, he swings his body weight toward the door and lets go, jumping the best he can and reaching out for the others.

'Don't grab me if I miss-!']

[The spell is greatly weakened in the elevator shaft--his leap is more of a somewhat slowed fall than anything else.

He'll reach the ledge, but very close to the edge, and it would be easy for him to stumble back and fall head over heels.]

[Thankfully, Xion isn't about to let that happen. As soon as she figures his trajectory out, she's scrambling up and back, to give him room to land. She only manages to make it back onto her knees before he reaches the platform.

He's closer to the edge than she would like, and even so, she isn't about to let him fall, no matter the case. She can't grab his arms, so she does the next best thing - wrapping her arms around his upper legs and pulling back. It's definitely an awkward position (and Xion has no idea how awkward), and they both might end up falling backwards into the ward if nobody catches them, but they will at least, be safely out of the shaft and inside the room itself]
