[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

Warnings: Administrative floors, danger, death, horror. Anyone tagging here is probably going to die, or at the very least meet with a terrible fate.

[Alright. Alright, she thinks she's got this. Taking a second to just cling to the cable and make sure she's not about to plummet to her death she eventually plants her feet against the wall for some extra stability, thankful for all that training she did back home. That upper body strength is coming in damned handy right now.

Sheathing the monster sword so she can grab onto the cable with both hands she suddenly looks down when she hears Labrys scream, frowning intensely. If something's gone wrong, there isn't much she can actually do from up here and that worries her a great deal.]

Is everyone alright?!

[Suffice to say, the jerking in her muscles was very unwelcome; she was damn well sure something got torn as she grabbed on. Thankfully it's not enough to actually force her to let go -- it wasn't anywhere near as bad as what could have happened -- but it takes her a moment or two to settle before she looks down at Labrys and sees the bad shape she's in.

Doesn't take her longer than two seconds to make a call on this, too.]

I'm fine, but you might want to get down here and quick!

[pinnaculum]

[He nods at Terra, then climbs onto his back, an unusual experience. He can't remember being carried before, and he is unsure of how he feels about trusting his safety to another, used to working alone. Yet he holds on to Terra's back without difficulty, situating himself carefully, so as not to impede the man's movements..]

Thank you.

[He continues to listen to the others speaking, as he's gathering intelligence. He hears them in the shaft.]

I am prepared.

[earthshards]

No problem. [He stands back up, and finds himself grimacing at the commotion he's hearing from the elevator shaft.

Well, time to go. He nods once, and without further words, jumps into the elevator shaft, grabs hold of the cable, and starts the descent.

Once he reaches the part where the cable cuts off, he breaks the silence.] Whatever happens, don't let go.

[Letting go, and... yep, in typical Square-derp fashion, he's running down the wall and letting gravity help with the descent.

If you're going to go out, at least do it with some flair?]

[prayed]

Jeez...somehow we ended up being the last ones to go. Well, at least this way we don't have to worry about having some idiot drop on one of us, y'know.

[Kyoko spares Homura a glance as she says this, sliding down to the bottom of the cable. She waits several seconds, giving the pair a suitable head start to eliminate any risk of crashing into him before jumping off the cord and begins jumping from wall to wall as she descends the elevator shaft and moves towards the red light.]

[rewindingly]

[ Homura flinches. The commotion she's hearing almost gets her to leap ahead and try to help, but she keeps her feet firmly rooted. There is no point in such a risk. They're here to get equipment, not to keep each other alive. ]

Be careful, Kyoko. [ The words slip out while she is trying to sort through her priorities. After giving Kyoko a head start she follows down the cord, then mimics Kyoko's jumping strategy while continuing her descent. ]

[A strangled half-sobbing noise came from Labrys as she held on for dear life with her remaining hand; there was a moment or two of only that before actual words were forced from her throat.]

I'm s-s-sorry--! I shouldn't a' l-l-let go, Shepard, are you okay?

[Tears were mostly hidden by her visor, Labrys' body shaking with pain and forcibly repressed crying as she tried not to lose it. How did humans think when they were in pain without programming and logic protocols?]

I ain't...it ain't th-that bad. Not like I'm gonna b-bleed t' death.

[But that cable was a little worrisome. Taking a few seconds to collect herself, Labrys carefully tried to pull her leg free of it or failing that, shake it off.]

[Like with the others, going beyond the red light triggers complete loss of superhuman abilities. The cables come up quickly--they'll have to either grab on fast to avoid striking their teammates or try to pass them. As long as Labrys can untangle her leg before the rest of her team lands on it, it should come loose easily enough.]

[This is not a good situation to be in. By the sounds of it, Labrys has been seriously injured and is further down from the rest of them. So when Shepard tells her to get down there, she's already on it, carefully climbing down along her cable. But there's more to it than that, the others are going to be coming down any moment she realizes and they're probably going to be dropping in just as quickly. So despite her cautious descent, she's actually keeping her attention turned to what's above her.

She managed to get down here smoothly enough, but most of her teammates have not been so lucky thus far. Being landed on by somebody would not be pleasant.]

Everybody stay alert, I don't think the others are going to be able to stop themselves either if they drop down now!

[earthshards]

Damn--![Once he gets past the red light, his transformed Keyblade vanishes without a trace. There goes that plan, though he hadn't been really counting on it.

Time to wing it, then.

Once the cable comes back into view, he pushes off the wall and aims to grab it with both hands, hoping that the gloves he's wearing will help prevent any rope burn and keep his grip better.]

[The cable tears at the gloves but doesn't pierce through them--his arms jerk and one dislocates, the cable them wrapping around it and squeezing painfully, but his injuries for the moment are relatively minor compared to what could have happened.]

why does the only appropriate icon come with armor? @_@

[Well, ow. Ow. Terra manages to keep the scream from the sudden pain rather quiet and brief, all things considered.

But son of a bitch; he's felt worse, and has been dealt worse - the Keyblade Graveyard comes to mind almost immediately - but the cable wrapped around his arm is not helping. Getting that arm free is going to be... well. Fun.

At least the weight on his back tells him that the kid is still there.] You okay?

[Sephiroth can feel a change in himself. His senses are less sharp, and his body feels weaker. He is fortunate that he was holding on to Terra. Otherwise, he's not sure how he would have managed to stop himself, for all his training. As it is, he is unharmed, and he can hold on very tightly. It's not as if he's lost his experience, only his enhancements.]

I am well, thank you. Are you badly injured?

[He wishes his materia was effective now, at least. He could heal the others here. He tries to use his restore materia, it doesn't appear to work. He would like to do more to help. He can perform first aid, but not in his current position.]

[earthshards]

[Well, that gets a very wry, if pained-looking grin out of him.] I've had worse.

[If only he could use Curaga. If only.]

[The loss of supernatural powers slows Kyoko's progress down the elevator shaft to a far more reasonable pace, and for a brief moment she almost finds herself plummeting, but with some effort she's able to continue jumping from wall to wall and work her way down. Upon moving down the cables--enough that Homura behind won't have to come to an abrupt halt, and also to avoid smacking into the people below her--, she'll make an attempt to jump from the wall she landed and onto the cable itself, aiming to grab it with one hand, while wrapping buckling her knees around it.

If she's able to grasp the cable with one hand, her other hand, still holding her spear, will move forward to stab her spear at the opposite wall. Ideally, she'd be able to drive it into it and bring her to a halt or at least prevent her from skidding.]

[Kyoko lands with no real difficulty, given her mostly controlled descent, though the elevator cable does wrap around her legs somewhat. Her spear doesn't pierce the wall, but it does prevent her sliding just from the force alone.]

[ As much as Homura wants to assure herself that Kyoko is okay, there is hardly any time for it. She has to focus on herself. Like Kyoko, she manages to mostly keep herself from freefalling helplessly by forcing herself from wall to wall.

Unlike Kyoko, she doesn't have a spear for slowing herself down. All she can do is to grab the cable when it comes into view and count on the rappelling techniques she read over to get control over her fall. She doesn't want to risk hurting Kyoko with her landing. ]

[Homura's arm wrenches painfully, her wrist being twisted almost to the breaking point--but not quite. Aside from that, she manages well enough.]

[ Homura clenches her teeth. It takes a lot of willpower not to let go of the cable, but the rest of her body's safety trumps her wrist. Sorry, wrist.

When she lands she is slightly pale and shaky, but a few deep breaths and internal pep talks help smooth this over. She silently and carefully moves her wrist to make sure it isn't broken before returning her attention to the team. Kinda. Mostly to Kyoko. ]

[prayed]

[The second Kyoko is able to stabilize herself she begins the process of shaking the cables off of her legs, one at a time, in a careful movement to prevent making it any worse. A safe landing will do her no good if she gets tangled up.

Her head jerks up when Homura lands though, snapping her back to the reality that she's has other people to worry about, with Homura at the top of the list. Her eyes narrowing as she watches the Puella Magi secure her position on the cable, moving down it best she can to accommodate her. She's drop her spear to try to catch her if needed, but fortunately that doesn't prove necessary.]

Oi! You okay up there?

[She glances down and as an afterthought adds,]

What about the rest of you? Everyone still alive?

[gradosfinest]

[Amelia has since started to lower herself on the cable she's on, trying to get down to the same level Shepard and Labrys are on since she grabbed onto the cables quite a bit further up from them. She's careful about it, and there's certainly something different about the way she's carrying herself. This isn't like messing around on the other floors.

They're neck deep in a dangerous situation, and there's more on the line than just her own life.]

I'm alive, but we've got a couple of people injured. I know Labrys isn't in good shape, but by the sounds of it we're all here at least.

[fuhgeddaboudit]

I-I'm...I can keep goin'.

[Labrys' one-handed grip on the cable faltered slightly, and she slipped down an inch or two before holding on tighter.]

I don't wanna slow anybody down, though.

[animusnpcs]

[It's eerily silent in the elevator shaft. The whole thing seems to be shivering a little, though it doesn't affect the cable at all.]

[earthshards]

We're fine! [It takes about a minute and a lot of wincing on his end before he gets his arm untangled from the cables. Once that is finished, though, he starts to slowly head down the cables, hoping to catch up with the others that were further down.]

Latest bloody tag ever, SOB.

We could be a lot worse off than this!

Shepard starts heading down either way, also careful on the approach, due to the amount of blood coating the cables.]
