[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Characters: All the characters who signed up for this infiltration, too many to write them all here. Characters who stay behind and do not infiltrate can tag into the mingle thread.
Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

Warnings: Administrative floors, danger, death, horror. Anyone tagging here is probably going to die, or at the very least meet with a terrible fate.

If we want their help and not the stink eye, yeah let's not. [Dave offers up as he extends an arm out to help up whoever decides to climb on Bro with him. Snoop bends down, making it easier for Riku to climb on with a little tilt of her head. Dave keeps his dragons exercised and well fed (as he can), so long flights won't be too big of an issue.

Dave takes a moment to secure the blade to his back, tucking Caldescratch away into his coat. Now he's good to go.] Let's mount up and head out, speaking of the other groups they might need a hand down there.

[They will have to travel down some ways before they see anything except smooth walls. A glowing red light appears out of the darkness eventually, though, marking off a separation between two halves of the elevator shaft. The cables still cannot be seen.]

[Riku just shakes his head at the suggestion, but doesn't say anything - between John, Rose and Dav shooting it down, there really isn't anything that needs to be added - before he pulls himself up on Snoop, patting her side once he has found a good grip while Highwind takes off his head and flutters circles around Snoops.

The descent is smooth for the first while (that alone is enough to cause an unsettled feeling in OU!ku's stomach - nothing ever goes totally smooth in this place), and Riku frowns when he spots the red light. Oh yeah, bad feelings about this everywhere. Still, there is no choice but to cross it.]

Here goes nothing.

[As soon as the red light is passed, all superhuman abilities are disabled.]

[The other Riku takes Dave's hand as soon as it's offered and mounts up before long. Having tried riding on his Ryu Dragon a couple of times, it's not too jarring of an experience, even if their anatomies are fairly different.

As soon as the red light draws near, though, he feels a lump forming in the pit of his chest. That... can't be good. Who knows what'll happen when they pass it on dragonback or what awaits below?]

Yeah...I guess that's a good point.

[He hadn't thought of any of that, oops. Well, they all have rides, so it didn't really matter anyway.

Unlike Riku, Sora has never had a chance to try riding on a dragon of any sort before, so hopping on the Ryu Dragon does take some getting used to...but it isn't that hard, at least! The descent is pretty easy too, for a little while, but that actually makes him a little suspicious. It would be great if they could get down there without any trouble, but he was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen.

Once he sees the red ring ahead, he's even more sure of it.]

What is that?

Alright.

[Granted maybe throwing all the beds in was a bad idea, but he did quickly run up to grab a few pillows and other soft things and used the pharmacy's straps to tie them around his legs and arms. He might look silly (naked man aside) but at least no one was getting random beds and worst off he could remove them once they got down enough.

Speaking of which, once he hits past the red ring ahead, there's a strange feeling as Lucifer completely disappears above him.]

Oh!

[Well, someone's on his way to starting a freefall.]

[And Naoya isn't the only one. Since Chandel was sticking close to him as her master requested, once she passes the red light, the little ghost suddenly loses the ability to stay airborne since candles are not supposed to be able to float on their own.]

[Well there goes the theory about being able to use her as a scout.]

Shit!! Somebody catch him! [Unfortunately, Liv is too small to support both John AND Naoya, and she lacks a nice set of talons to at least grab his shoulders or something, so there's nothing John can do on that front. From his place on Liv's back, several feet behind them and still above the red line, John takes Chandel's Pokéball off of his belt and attempts to pull the Lampent back into it, if the barrier allows for the operation of Pokéball technology.]

[The Pokeball fails to pierce through the red light, and Chandel continues to fall alongside Naoya. Provided no one catches them, the cables will come up quickly enough, slicked with blood though they may be in places.]

[Riku's eyes widen in realization when he sees Lucifer disappearing, it doesn't take much to figure out what's happening and he is already tightening his grip around Snoop and hisses "Go!", before yelping at the speed the Dragonite is diving downwards as she makes a grab for Naoya. Hopefully she will manage, because Riku is a bit too distracted with doing his very best to hold onto her right now to reach out himself.

Highwind meanwhile is attempting a rescue dive of his own, trilling as he tips back his wings and tries to catch up to Chandel and grab her with his (admittedly very short) claws(?). He knows he's not an Eaglider or Halbird, but he is trying. :(]

[They should be able to catch up with their falling companions--while maneuvering to grab them will be a bit tight, it should be possible as long as they don't get tangled in the elevator cable when it resumes.]

[Naoya hisses slightly when he starts to freefall, but sees the approaching dragonite and attempts to make a grab at it as he spies metal and blood on the side of his view. One of the cables snaps close to him from the falling motion, thankfully not tangling him, but causing a cut on his arm that would probably had been worse if he hadn't thrown a pillow there. As he finally manages to get a grip on the dragonite, he does his best to attempt to use his legs and touch the wall, hopefully lessening the added weight on her.

He's running on the adrenaline and doesn't notice his open wound at first.]

S-sorry. You alright?

[And he's worried more about them having to do that than himself.]

[Riku is still clinging tightly onto Snoop, though he is slowly working on relaxing his grip now that Naoya is caught and they aren't diving at potentially neck-breaking speed anymore and looks around in search for his Komory Bat while he answers.]

Just fine.

[At about the same time, Highwind has caught up to Chandle and somehow managed to get a grip on her... and for just one second it looks like he might be able to stop her descent...

...But thirteen kilogram are just way too much for him to carry, never mind stop in free fall, no matter how much effort he puts into slowing them down and so the Dream Eater can only squeal in alarm as gravity wins and both of them fall, alerting Riku.]

Highwind!

[Why a ghost even weighs that much, we will just never know. But needless to say, Chandel is just as distressed as the little bat is once they start plummeting again, if those ghostly wails are anything to go by.]

Go, Liv! [John didn't need to tell the Altaria twice, she had begun to dive the moment the beam of light stopped at the barrier. John shifts so that he's laying flush against Liv to hopefully cut down on wind resistance and better avoid the wires. Once they're past the arrows, he tries calling the Lampent back again but urges Liv onward just in case it fails a second time.]

[If if doesn't work, they should hopefully be able to pull out of the dive a fet feet below the smaller creatures so that John can catch them. If it does work, it won't be until Highwind has the strength to support himself again that the two pull out of their dive. If need be, John will catch just the bat.]

[John's Pokeball continues to fail for now, but they should catch up to the falling creatures as long as they don't hit the walls or the cable when it resumes again--they should be able to pass and catch the falling creatures.]

[It's like watching a horror movie, or being in the middle of Shit Going South: the story of Sburb. Dave guides Salamence to stay above the red light as he curses and watches everything unfold. Pokemon being disabled hadn't occurred to him but now that it has, he can see the problem with the situation. Bro keeps steady as he whistles to him, and then he calls out.]

Hey! With this disabling going on we want to double up and lessen how much we're taking down there. John you might want to swing back up and store your ghost.

[Bro makes a growling sound as Dave peers down into the shaft with a deep frown.] Good thing to know before we go down, I guess but damn.

Could have done without the heart attack. [Pokemon wails and seeing people fall are things he never wants to see again.]

Well, at least they can still fly. Even if we do cut back, that gives us some leverage.

[Riku sighs, continuing to hold on tight.]

We'll just have to be careful until we either find a door or reach the bottom.

[Though, really, he's not expecting Dave to have Bro dive head first. If John wants to cut back, that's fine. There's still room on his Ryu Dragon, at any rate.]

[[Deciding it might be a good idea to save some space and ride with someone else, Rose has Vodka set her down with Sora. She can move to sit with someone else if needed, but for now his ride was closest.]]

I hope you don't mind a partner.

[[Turning, she gives her Dragonite a couple of appreciative pets, assuring him she'd be alright before returning him to his Pokeball.]]

[Sora joined everyone else in having a minor heart attack, but he breathes a sigh of relief when all the near-freefalling stops and everyone is still in one piece. At least they know what they need to look out for, now.

Sora nods at the suggestion that they double up and lighten their load. Since it looked like the monsters that they were using could be stored in those ball things (more stuff that he needed to ask about later) and the Ryu Dragon could, someone should probably ride with him, but who-

And then Rose is put down next to him. Problem solved!]

[The Ryu Dragon still seems okay with two passengers, thankfully, so Sora's hoping for a smooth ride down.

Never hurts to be optimistic, right?]

Good idea, Dave. [After a few moments coddling and making sure that the Lampent is okay, John flies back up and over the line to join the other half of the party. As much as he loves Chandel and as useful as her light is, without the ability to float she's little more than a 25 pound paperweight. She can't even walk on her own since she doesn't have legs, so really putting her back in the ball is the only sensible option here.]

[Once she's back inside and everybody is settled into their new arrangements and good to go, it's time for the group to go back to descending and see what they run into past the cables...]

[Good everyone was safe for now. Now that he gets a better look at the cables, there's a fair amount of blood in them. Hopefully not that of the other groups, but he can't help but wonder.]

No way to go now but down.

[And now to press on forward, giant naked man switched for dragonite talons.]

[Highwind blinks a few times after being caught, making thankful (and maybe slightly apologetic) squeaks at John - he was trying really hard! :( - and when they pass Riku, Naoya and Snoop on the way up, Highwind finally stops clinging to Chandel and flutters to his owner. It's easy to see that this misadventure has left some marks on him though; his flight is anything but smooth and Riku, for once, is very quick to pull him into his arms, scratching Highwind behind his ears as he tries to assess the damage (it's not too bad, thankfully).

He nods absently at Naoya's remark as he helps his Dream Eater to take his usual place on his shoulder for easier travel for now.]

Yeah... Though let's try to avoid anymore falls, if we can.

[There is enough misadventure and/or opportunity to die ahead as is.]

[All superhuman abilities will be disabled below the red light, but as long as the creatures they're flying on can really fly under their own power the descent will remain a controlled one. It takes quite a bit of time, still, before the elevator cables resume, bringing with them a line of closed elevator doors. They're too far up, at the moment, to be at their destination.

It's eerily silent on this side of the red light.]

[Those doors grab Riku's attention straight away. After a long descent with nothing but smooth walls, it's a welcome change of pace. The question is, which door leads where?]

Hmm. You guys think we're getting close?

[Who knows how far the shaft even goes, really?]

[There's something tangled in the elevator cables a little ways down from where they currently are. The cables themselves are wet and slick with blood, gore, and oil.]
