Characters: Everyone ever.
Setting: Floor 38- On Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Format: Action or prose, whichever format you prefer.
Summary: CHRISTMAS PARTY! Now that the Jason!Flu is finally over, all the characters can celebrate Christmas in peace (nearly?) and eat some acceptable food that was cooked by the volunteers. The 38th floor is, as usual, the floor where the party happens and has been entirely decorated for Christmas. The Christmas Party will be open for Christmas Eve and the entirety of Christmas. For characters who wouldn't check this floor, the party has been advertised on the network.

As is usual with these party logs, it's free game! Feel free to post a mingle thread for your character as they spend time in the party or an activity (singing, dancing? playing game? gift giving? anything). Add to that, you're free to start as many threads as you want, be they open or closed! Please put in the header your character's name or the activity's name. If a prompt is closed, then please make sure to write it in the header too!

The lounge on the 38th floor has been entirely decorated with ribbons, tinsels, Christmas balls and many other things- All hand-made of course. The first thing that can probably be noticed upon entering is the majestic Christmas Tree sitting near the entrance, decorated as well and with wrapped boxes at its feet. There are a lot of empty spaces in the room for people to dance if so they wish as well as empty tables to organize games or sit down, in short everything needed to run an activity. Oh, and there is mistletoe hung at the floor's entrances. Nothing bad really.

Most important there is a lot of food in here, placed on a couple tables. Most of that food comes from the tower's restaurant-- Someone must have done a lot of work for the tower these last days. At least here and now you don't have to risk a limb to get some quality food. Aside from the restaurant food there are also cakes, yule logs as well as many cooked meats and fruits.

Last but not least, this floor isn't as cold here as the rest of the tower. There are a total of what appears to be four fireplaces (hand-made as all the other decorations) in the room, one against each of the walls with fires lit within them. Of course these are not exactly normal fires and a lot of resources and energy has been spent to make them so they will last for the entirety of the party- After this they will be unusable, but at least until then they will keep the room at a normal temperature.

[On Christmas Day, Legolas will see a certain book girl running towards him. She's wearing a white dress, holding a bottle of Island Berry wine, a copy of The Forty-seven Ronin, and..the cape he let her borrow. She's looking quite happy, and doesn't seem to notice the elfs shorter hairstyle. When she gets to him, she'll pause to catch her breath before handing him all the things she's holding.]

Merry Christmas, Legolas! Thanks for letting me borrow the cape..it really helped.

[By then, of course, Haldir has more or less forbidden Legolas to put his hood back up. That he hadn't confiscated it was a miracle and the style of his hair was growing on him.]

Merry Christmas to you as well, Tohko! You look lovely.

[Not that he knows what Christmas is, haha. Oh god, now he feels kind of bad for not having gifts to give anyone. And he's a bit curious of where she found a bottle of wine in this place but it will be well used.]

I am glad that it did but would you not wish to keep hold of it until the weather changes once more.

Ah, thank you! Your haircut looks quite handsome as well.

[Not that Tohko was expecting any gifts in return. As for the wine, it was gotten by making a cloak. It was originally intended for Wilhelm, but once Tohko realized that Wilhelm didn't need to drink or eat, she thought Legolas would make better use of it. At his question, Tohko shook her head.]

That would be kind of you, but I can stand a few more days of cold. Besides, now that I'm over my illness, even being able to feel the cold is a blessing!

Thank you. It took Haldir some time to convince me to leave my room with it and has made me keep my hood down for this evening to show it.

[Between this and the barrel he'd received, he certainly had enough to last him now. The only thing to decide now was which he'd have a glass of first.]

I wasn't at all, have no fear of it. I loaned it to you to ensure you would be comfortable, I'd have not been at all bothered if you needed to hold onto it longer. Whether it be because you couldn't find me or because it was still too cold.

[Admittedly, she wouldn't have been able to find him very easily at all. The prince had spent time moping in his room over the sudden haircut.]

Ah, alright then..I'm glad to hear that. However, it would have been nice if you could have been a little bit warmer when I didn't need it. However..since we're both standing here alright, I suppose it all worked out in the end.

A single cloak was enough but you're quite right. It did work out and nobody else seems to be frostbitten or dead.

Yup..at least, not that I know of. Hopefully they weren't.

[It annoyed Tohko too-and gave her a new urge to slap Jason as well as Ruana-but..if they were planning on breaking her with that, they kind of failed.]

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head. Gloating about making everyone sick, about cutting off her senses and giving her schizophrenia..there was only one person she could think of that was worse.]

I didn't know that. Now I'm sure he's worse than Ruana. What a horrible person.

I do not know. I've only ever seen him once and that was when many of us were taken for a competition between the administrators. A competition to determine who would have control of the tower the following month.

[Tohko didn't see what he had. The methods Jason employed in executing those who were voted to leave the pods and him having to drag a child away from the sight of a family member being cut apart.]

I think that he fears Ruana. Those of us there that month saw it, how she was in control of everything that happened.

I see..that sounds pretty terrible. I'm sorry to hear that. Who won the competition?

[Tohko may not have known, but she could imagine, and those imaginings were not pretty. She sighed again.]

I think it's because Ruana doesn't understand why her actions are terrible or the pain she causes. I looked on the network when she was on awhile ago..and it seemed that she saw what she did as nothing more than a fun game. Jason, while cruel, does understand what she's doing.

Maybe they fear her because she could easily turn on them more more 'fun', and they would have no way to stop her. To them, she's unpredictable.

Riki was the victor. Ruana disqualified Jason for mistreating his group.

[Legolas was frowning though. He was obviously not in the victors group but the smug way he mentioned Jason betrayed that he wasn't one of his either.]

I spoke with her. Her mind seems young despite the age she claims. You are right though, she could turn this on them. If only you could have seen Jason's face, covered in stitching as though he were a piece of cloth.

I see..at least she did something good, even though she probably harmed the people in her group as well.

[Tohko caught the fact that he wasn't part of the victors, but she wasn't quite sure that he wasn't part of Jason's. She suspected he wasn't.]

She does seem rather young..but I think it's a forced youth. On the network, she kept refusing to talk about her past, as the memories were too painful for her. I think it's a facade or a split part of her that's protecting her true self from hurting even more.

I can imagine it pretty well..it probably looked rather..gruesome.

She didn't have a group. It was only between Riki, Dax and Jason.

[Months ago, Legolas wouldn't have been so satisfied by Jason suffering. It went to show how much the experiences here had already influenced the elf.]

I blame her not if she suffered terribly from what was done.

[Legolas could only nod, remembering clearly how it looked. He wanted to say it was only a fraction of what Jason deserved but the prince held his tongue.]

Ah, alright then. I'm sorry..I thought she had one.

[While Tohko didn't min the idea of Jason getting punished, having him be like a stuffed doll didn't sit well with her. She would have given him a few good slaps and argued with him until he saw the error of his ways.

In stitching him, she thought you became just as bad as Jason.]

I do feel a little sorry for her, since she has suffered a lot..but I do blame her a little, since she has made us suffer in turn. However, she might be easier to help out and come to her senses than Jason..if that makes any sense.

You needn't apologize, you weren't there for it. And I'm glad for that, those left in the tower weren't well cared for.

[He'd heard they had starved and that there had been no power to any part of the tower.]

Nothing will excuse any of their actions. Nothing but sending us home without... No, perhaps not without our memories. I'd be loath to lose what I've learned here.

Yeah..Xehanort told me about the conditions left for the people left behind.

[She was starting to figure out that this was what he had been talking about.]

..Maybe sending us home with the truth? And I agree with you-even though a lot of horrible things have happened here, I've met a lot of friends here..and I've had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I'd be a shame to forget that.

[Tohko nodded, thinking.]

That's true..however, we could try and see if her mind can be healed. It may be a foolish idea and it may fail..but it might work.

[He just nods. He didn't know Xehanort but he was sure he'd have divulged all the details without upsetting her. Hopefully.]

Perhaps they will. There are people here I'd rather not forget and bonds that I'd prefer go unbroken, despite what happened to form them.

[His mind wanders elsewhere, and a faint smile forms on his lips.]

It's something that we could bring to Gandalf. Perhaps his skill could do something for her if she and any here wish it.

Hopefully they will...and I feel the same way. Even if we all part and go to our separate worlds eventually, I'd like to at least remember everyone and everything.

[Tohko smiled and nodded at that suggestion.]

Of course! Maybe he can do something..and if he can't, we can always ask around and see if other people can do anything. Maybe I can be of some help as well. I'm a simple book girl..but I did manage to save a suicidal mime. Ruana is different..but I might be able to help in some small way. We'll have to ask Gandalf about it when we see him again.
