[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

Warnings: Administrative floors, danger, death, horror. Anyone tagging here is probably going to die, or at the very least meet with a terrible fate.

[The retrieval units skid to turn, which slows them down a little and gives Dark Pit and Sheba some more distance. They'll have to get off of the bookshelves to get down to the door, but they might have time to do that now, if they're quick.]

[Sheba clutches the three books to her chest and glances over her shoulder. They're slowed - now's a good a time as any, she supposes. So she jumps down to the ground, bracing herself for the impact and running as soon as she lands.

It's a small distance, really; but with the retrieval units behind her, it feels a lot longer.]

[He leaps down, following her, and grabs her hand so he doesn't have to slow himself down. He races for the door and attempts to shove it open and close it behind them.]

[They exit into a dark hallway, with stairs leading up and down. Beside the door is a label: "RESIDENTIAL-JASON".

A moment later, the door slams shut behind them. Muffled, a computerized voice can be heard from inside: Area sealed.

It looks like they're locked out, but the retrieval units are locked in. It's silent.]

...! Did we...

[She stares at the door for a few moments, then at the label. She turns away, looks at the hallway, looks at the stairs. Then she looks back to the door and tightens her hold on the books.]

Do you think the others made it out? [But they need to keep moving. The retrieval units are on the other side of that door, and who knows how long they'll stay that way once Jason realizes they escaped his area.] ...we... we should go.

[alae]

I don't know and I don't know. We need to move, though. Neither of us are in any shape to hang around. Come on.

[He's just gonna hope his powers come back soon... and that they can find an exit.]

[As they step away from the door, the glamour turns back on. Their abilities return to them. They can either go up or down.

It's eerily silent.]

[seekinganswers]

[She sighs in relief as the glamour returns and she's not looking at a wireframe when she looks down at herself anymore. Then she eyes the staircases.]

Up or down? You lead; I'll follow. ...we have to get back up somehow, but... will the stairs go the whole way?

[alae]

Up.

[They can't think about whether it'll go all the way - they just have to try.]

You um. Don't have any healing spells, do you? Mine don't heal that much.

[seekinganswers]

No... the closest thing I have is a Djinn that can numb pain. Is something hurting you?

[She asks the question as she starts up the stairs.]

[He heads up with her.]

Oh. My wrist still hurts a lot. I can deal with it.

[As they travel upward, there are two more doors labeled as Jason's before one labeled CONTAINMENT.

The staircase seems to be growing steeper, though it doesn't seem to be becoming any more difficult to actually walk up.]

I can numb it if you want...

[She stares at the door labeled CONTAINMENT and her footsteps slow. The curiosity is nearly overwhelming, but she's already said she'll let Dark Pit take the lead. Still, it can't hurt to ask.]

Do you think we should try and see what's in there?

((ooc: i'm going to be in a car for a few hours and then I have a shift at work so feel free to assume Sheba is following/using any of her powers that Dark Pit requests if you want to keep moving!))

I can deal with it.

[She might need that power later, so. He uses another healing burst - one left.]

... Probably not, but let's do it.

[He goes to open the door to peek inside.]

[The door opens to a small, empty room with one more door beyond--but there's a cacophony of shrieks, growls, and wails coming from that second door.]

[YEAH NOPE. Dark Pit is closing that door right away.]

Let's keep going.

[Even Sheba's judgment isn't questionable enough to try and read the minds of whatever is making those noises, though not knowing what was causing them will likely bother her for a long while to come. Oh, well.

She steps away from the door and continues up the stairs.]

I hope these go all the way up...

[The stairs appear to be looping--they pass CONTAINMENT three times.

Then, suddenly, the whole world shifts and they're standing beside RESIDENTIAL-GENERAL.]

[alae]

[This... this is concerning.]

Do you think it really is what it says it is?

[It's like Pandora's Maze all over again. He only went through it when he busted out of there but still...]

[Sheba feels disoriented. Containment - containment - containment, and now...? She swallows hard and looks at the door.]

I don't know. It might be some kind of... [Her eyes go wide and her voice trails off as she studies the door, an expression of dawning comprehension passing over her face.] ...illusion...

[Why hadn't she thought of this sooner? The glamour might be too advanced to be tell, but - maybe...]

There's a kind of Psynergy I can use that might tell me if this is real or not. It might be the fooled by the glamour, but it can't hurt to try it... [She takes a step closer to the door and lays her hands on it, then concentrates. Dark Pit, being sensitive to magic, may see the rings of Psynergy that surround her briefly before expanding around them in a six-foot radius. She observes carefully to see if anything has changed now that she's cast Reveal.]

[RESIDENTIAL-GENERAL seems to be the actual label on this door. It appears to be real.]

If it looks fine, I'll open it.

[And, barring any objections from Sheba, he will.]

I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

[When he opens the door, she gathers the stolen books back into her arms, hugs them to her chest, and peeks through it to see what's on the other side - if all looks clear, she'll step through.]

[The door opens to what could only be described as a living room, complete with several couches and chairs and a high-tech television set on the wall across from the largest couch. There's an archway that leads to a dining room, as well as a hallway directly opposite.

There are shuffling noises coming from the direction of the dining room.]

[Dark Pit slides past Sheba and hugs the wall, tilting his head to indicate that she should follow him. He's more the combat type, anyway. He creeps towards the dining room.]
