[Dark World Event] || [The Evil Realm] || [Open] || [2/3]

Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.

All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.

Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.

Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patience and sanity.

Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!

• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.

• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.

• They character may have found one of the black doors of Mordor leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.

• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

[The spear merely glances off of the armor of the closest Darknut. In retaliation, it starts to swing its sword down on Lancer from above, while a second Darknut swings its sword from the side. The third stands by, waiting for an opening.]

Tch.

[Using his A-rank speed, Lancer flips backwards to dodge the slashes of the Darknuts.]

[Next time he needs to go for their helmets.]

I hope thread hopping is okay; if not, let me know!

[Sephiroth, catching sight of Lancer again, casts another spell, this time on Lancer. They're a little like comrades, so he should help.]

[[HASTE]]

You'll be faster now.

[If Lancer had A-rank speed before, it's A+++ now. Sephiroth himself teleports into battle, taking a swing at the back of one Darknut's armor, trying to knock it off. At the same time, he casts another spell on his target.]

[[SLOW]]

[Which has a 40% chance of working.]

[The spell fails. Oh well. Better luck next time! Try to ignore the ominous, disembodied laughter while you fight.

Sephiroth's physical attack loosens the armor somewhat. He will catch a glimpse of something white underneath the armor in the place where one plate has started to separate from the other.

That Darknut spins around to attack Sephiroth, while the other two try to charge Lancer. They're not very fast, but be careful! Those swords are pretty big. Dodge too late, and you'll be left with quite the nasty wound.]

Thanks!

[He wants to help Sephiroth take down the darknut with the loosened armor, but he has his hands full with the two charging darknuts. Thankfully, they're slow, so he easily parries their strikes before throwing a look toward Sephiroth.]

[It is fortunate the darknuts are slow. Sephiroth is fast, and he can hop around them easily. Sephiroth teleports to the other side of the attacking darknut and strikes at its armor again, this time forcing energy into his blade: a pale glow. With the added power, he can cut through metal thicker than armor.

He casts another spell, [[BARRIER]] to lessen any damage from physical attacks. It's important to protect his party. He does enjoy having a party to protect.

[The back of the Darknut's armor cracks open. The blow would have pierced the creature underneath, but it spins around quickly enough that only the armor takes damage. While its chestplate cracks and starts to slide off, the Darknut swings its sword at Sephiroth with a swiftness and ferocity not yet seen before.

Oh no! Looks like you made it mad!

The other two Darknuts react to their fellow's distress, and both of them leap at Sephiroth from different angles. The momentum from their swings drag the swords down with notable speed. It won't be quite as easy to avoid all three of them at once.]

[As the two other Darknuts turn to attacking Sephiroth, Lancer can feel his blood freezing for a second. He had been so caught in his own fight that this child is now in danger.]

[He had failed to save Misaya. He had failed to save Ayaka. He couldn't let this child who had helped him come to harm too...]

[With a feral roar, he springs forward to tackle one of the Darknuts from behind.]
pinnaculum: (it was a small part)

[Sephiroth usually doesn't fight multiple enemies at once, but he's been trained to. When the darknuts all attack, he teleports out of the middle of them, but not before one of their swords inscribes a long (if not particularly deep) cut into his arm.

The blood doesn't bother him, and he's resistant to pain, reappearing again behind the darknuts, moving as if he isn't injured, and again striking at their armor with added energy in the blade, causing it to glow white.

[The Darknut that Lancer attempted to tackle stays on its feet, but it now seems aware of his presence. It spins around in an attempt to dislodge Lancer, and, failing that, it would swing its sword at its own back to try and deal damage to him.

Sephiroth manages to strike the undamaged Darknut's arm. The metal of its armor cracks and loosens, and the "sleeve" of its armor falls to the ground with a loud clatter. A papery white arm now pokes out of the armor, and that arm grips its sword once more and charges with renewed vigor. The third Darknut, the one missing its chestplate, joins in the attack.]

[personal profile] puppy_lancer 2013-03-07 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Lancer digs his fingers into the joint between the Darknut's back armor and its helmet. He twists his body to avoid the sword strike and then tries to throw off the Darknut's helmet.]
pinnaculum: (like a tree)

[personal profile] pinnaculum 2013-03-10 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[He doesn't pause to heal himself, not believing he needs it yet. He strikes out at the arm of the Darknut missing a sleeve of armor, intending to sever it. After that strike, he teleports again, striking at the one with no chestplate, in what seems to be a weakened area.

They're two swift, powerful blows in quick succession.

Didn't get a notif for this, sorry!

[personal profile] dark_world 2013-03-16 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Lancer won't be able to pull off the Darknut's helmet. Whatever that armor is made of, it feels far too strong to be disassembled by hand.

The first Darknut Sephiroth targets moves its arm so quickly that it'll look like little more than a blur. Without the armor there to weigh it down, it looks like it can move much faster.

The second Darknut blocks the blow with its own blade, then strikes out at Sephiroth, parrying forward in a move fit for a master swordsman.]
