[Dark World Event] || [The Evil Realm] || [Open] || [2/3]
Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.
All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.
Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.
Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patienceand sanity.
Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!
• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.
• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.
• They character may have found one of the black doorsof Mordor leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.
• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

It's dusk and no matter the time of the day, it will remain perpetual dusk. If you manage to spot the sun at the horizon, it looks as if there are three golden triangles within it. There is a thick dark fog over the forest and the very air itself is heavy and poisonous. It probably can give to some people a feeling of sickness, but nothing that can kill.
The animals that usually roam about the forest are still there, but have now taken on even more demoniac feature as before and are outright aggressive whenever they spot someone. There are also more monsters than usual—For the most part, average monsters such as orcs. All the monsters are notably stronger than they are usually.
Cutting the grass around is a good way to earn rupees. Too bad there are no shops to spend them on. ]

Why were the trees in pain? Why did the trees have magic? Was this another game? An experiment? Had the tower just changed now that Dax wasn't around to keep it bearable?
He has the EMR that Reno gave to him in his hand and is looking around with slightly frantic eyes, trying to keep calm.]

She'd already gotten more practice than she cared to fighting one-handed
At least being in the tower for a year meant that she was used to being hungry, by now, and the gnawing in her stomach was merely a minor distraction rather than debilitating. Far moreso was the fog, which at least didn't seem to be like that other fog from a few days ago, though it still made her wish she had the glasses Teddie had given her.
She'd managed to find a bit of peace from the Tower's monsters, curled up under a tree with her arms wrapped protectively around her knees. She could probably use some company, glancing around at anybody that happened to be nearby, but if she went looking for any others she knew she might run into monsters as well and she was too tired to deal with them at the moment.

It takes no effort to create an orb of light and leave it to shimmer just above his palm, frowning more and more with every passing second. There is deep dark magic at work here; he grows more and more certain of that with every breath. It makes him shudder.
Nevertheless, he forces himself to go onwards... he probably isn't the only one who ended up here (though it would be preferable, if he were).]

A moment later, ice cold furry follows. At himself, at the creator of this trap; but he shoves it away. He can act on his anger later. After he's found out who else has been captured.
But even though he doesn't intent to do anything but look for familiar faces, the air hums as he summons his Keyblade, keeping his grip tight around it. He's not going to take any chances. Not after the experiences he's made in the elevator... and in the last maze of Ganondorf's he had the questionable pleasure of having to find his way out of.]

Re: The Dark Forest (Floor Six) || Mingle
And as it turns out, "parts unknown" meant the forest. Only this was not the forest she remembered. The air was dark and seemed almost toxic, the trees warped and with strange faces in them... it didn't take the young knight long to realize whatever had transformed the forest had to be nothing short of outright evil. Inwardly she was quite thankful for the fact she never went anywhere in the Tower without her sword at her side and the Black Axe, Garm on her back, but... what the hell had happened here?! With a hand on the hilt of her sword at all times she slowly began to look around, much more on guard than usual. Maybe she wasn't the only one here...]

The Water Temple (Floors 07) || Wisdom Dungeon || Mingle
The decoration has been remade and there are many Triforce emblems on the walls and at key positions. The walls look as if that of an antique temple, but they are in fact the very same wall and it is all a very convincing illusion that only the most powerful magician could see through.
The doors leading into the lockers are closed with big locks, as if two Small Keys had to be found to go inside. No, the Keyblade won't work to open them. ]

Could it be related to the two locks, he's seen a bit further down?

Blargh, late but here.
The Water Temple (Floors 07, 62 and 79) || Wisdom Dungeon || Exploration
Notably four Big Treasure Chests are in the floor, at exposed spot so that people can see them and open them. Or not. A red chest, a blue chest, a green chest and a black chest. There are also a few pots asking only to be brutally smashed. ]
no subject
[They were all being wary. Chloe could understand, but at the same time there was no solution that did not first require someone to take a step. With all of the fearlessness of someone who did not care if she died, if she felt pain, or if she was maimed brutally by some trap, the assassin approached one of the switches.
the chests seemed unwise, and who actually broke random pottery? Honestly? That was for hobos in green vests. Taking hold of it and shrugging, she pulled the switch to the on state before anyone could advise her against it.]

The Pendant shines lightly and unlike anything else in the dark world, it feels as if positive energy radiates from it. It can't be removed by magic of its place, one has to swim to go get it.
Maybe trying to get it is the final thing to do in order to find the exit from the dark world? ]
no subject
I got dis, soonah we get outtah here, da bettah.
[With that, she dove in and began swimming to the pendant. She wasn't afraid of the green water, after all... Azerothian adventurers tended to get doused in acid, magma and other unpleasant substances when facing dangerous foes.]

The Death Mountain (Floor 68) || Power Dungeon || Mingle
It looks as though there are very strings of lava flowing over the mountain, but they is enough space between each of them so that someone cannot walk into them accidentally. Unless they are thrown into them by the powerful winds that circles the mountain.
Or by one of the numerous monsters roaming around the mountain. People with good eyes will be able to see there are many Uruk-Hai and Darknut on the path to the mountaintop, as well as some lesser species of monsters. ]

His free hand clench into a fist at the sight, the other tightens even more around his Keyblade, until his knuckles are white beneath his gloves. Those aren't opponents he likes facing, ones that have forced him to retreat on occasion. There is no getting around it here though, probably, and those are definitely way too many for him to face alone.
He sighs and forces himself to relax a little as he waits to see who else shows up for this part of the adventure. They'll have to work together to get out alive, he can tell that much already.]

The Palace of Darkness (???) || Courage Dungeon || Dark Self Battle
The room seems to extend to infinity, empty and vast. The ceiling cannot be seen as if there was nothing but light up there and the ground is covered in a light smoke and water. There is a dead tree standing in the middle of this room and a small construct with an exit door can be seen behind the tree, but it is locked with a Big Lock. No, the Keyblade won't work on it.
By the time you'll have wandered around for enough time without finding anything to do to open that door, something will raise from the ground-- It looks like you, it sounds like you and, is it you? No, just your Dark Self. In most cases they have red eyes, dark gray skin, wear black clothes and just scream evil and darkness upon being seen.
Your Dark Self will have all the same weapons as you do, the same powers and magics, the same tactics and the same resistance/health-- They are basically your perfect reflection, except on the dark side. They won't do the first move to attack you, however you can see this shadow is already in battle stance wielding a weapon. Your battle stance and your weapon (if you have any weapons). ]
((OOC:The Dark Self battles will happen mostly as seen here. The idea to manage and defeat them is for the characters to quickly adapt and find new tactics, but who knows how it'll go? By default we will be playing the dark selves, but if you'd like a more personalized battle, feel free to ask someone who knows your canon better than us to play your character's dark self! Only notify us in an OOC note like this one.
If your character survive and finish their battle early and reach the next floor (the labyrinth slowly being flooded by sand), they may get to witness through the door those who were with them moments ago and see them battling their own Dark Self. They cannot go to help them though and can only do that, watch.))
Elena vs. Dark Elena
Which appeared to be a smart choice, given the newest opponent to appear. Or, more pointedly, rose from the thin layer of water that covered the floor. She was honestly surprised to see that her next opponent would be herself, though in hindsight it shouldn't have been. And while the darker hair wasn't that bad, it was those red eyes that gave her an uncomfortable shiver.
Feet moved across the water-covered ground, watching her grayed-out twin, mouth pulling into a sardonic grin when she took the familiar defensive stance.]
You're kidding me...
[Making an audible 'Tsch' noise, Elena shook her head. To think that she'd have to fight her own copy to move forward. It was almost insulting. She was the one who earned those five elite emblems. She was the one who made it onto the Turks. And it was high time she reminded herself of that.]
All right, then....
[Hands clenched and she moved, not waiting for her opponent to strike, closing the gap between them in just a few steps, aiming two strikes for her opponents core before dropping into a sweep to knock her off her feet.]

The Palace of Darkness (Floor 08) || Courage Dungeon || Boss Battle
And in the middle of this sand covered floor appears the Pendant of Courage, quietly floating above the sand. The Pendant shines lightly and unlike anything else in the dark world, it feels as if positive energy radiates from it.
Maybe trying to get it is the final thing to do in order to find the exit from the dark world? It looks fairly easy. ]
HEROES - ATTACK!!!
Eyes move upward, staring at the shower of sand that poured from the ceiling, spilling onto the temple floor and slowly rising around her feet. Clearly if she didn't move she'd be buried alive, so Elena walks slowly, placing each foot atop the stand to rise with it, a perma-frown on her face. She was going to find sand everywhere for the next few days if she survived this.
When the sand finally stops and the floating green stone becomes visible, her objective is made clear. She had to obtain the stone. That had to be the key to their freedom from this deathtrap. Her steps are carefully placed, the thoughts of quicksand on the forefront of her mind, as she moves closer to the stone.]

Richtofen's Laboratory (Floor 70) || Mingle
Right now, it looks like you've stepped onto floor 70. The Tower's gigantic tangle of machinery still works, pistons pumping here and steam blowing there, but everything is much darker than you remember it to be. Gigantic machines cast long shadows across the floor, and fire inside furnaces make those shadows flicker as if they were alive. There's a slow, steady dripping coming from one corner of the room, and the air is thick and stagnant, carrying with it the faint smell of rot.
At the moment, it seems to be uninhabited. Perhaps now would be a good time to catch up with your friends and take a breather.]
Richtofen's Laboratory (Floor 70) || Exploration
Off to your far right, a beam of light shoots up toward the ceiling. It glows steadily, as if there's some sort of light source not unlike a large spotlight pointing up from the ground. To your far left, you can hear a heavy thunk, like something big and metal has been dropped to the ground. Investigating either one of these things will require you to navigate the floor. There are plenty of catwalks above you that you can use to avoid the perils of the furnaces and the pistons, but be careful: they seem rickety.
There's also the matter of those sounds you keep hearing - groans, nails against metal, uneven footsteps...
And, to make matters worse, the floor darkens even more like someone's forcefully turned down the lights. Even the fires in the furnaces have been reduced to little more than embers and the occasional flame. It will be hard to navigate when it's so dark, but maybe you can find a way to turn the lights back up.
Right before anyone has a chance to gather their bearings, Richtofen laughs. His voice echoes off the machinery, stronger than ever. For the first time, it seems like the sound might have a source, instead of being broadcast over some kind of supernatural PA system.]
It looks like you've made it past that brute's silly dungeons.
[Richtofen laughs again, and the edge to his voice could cut through glass.]
Now it's time for my brand of security. I hope you're all ready!
[Round I: Start.]
Riku & Yu (and open to others)
He's already met, fought and beaten the master of dramatic villain speeches and gestures. Twice.
So yeah. Have a snort.]
Is that guy always this flashy?
[Though of course, having bad taste doesn't make him less dangerous. And Riku does know that not everyone has as little trouble with navigating the dark as he does. Time to look for the light switch.]

Richtofen's Laboratory (Floor 70) || Boss Battle
He looks absolutely enraged. More than that, if one were to scrutinize the way his chest heaves up and down, how sweat beads at his forehead, and how his eyes are wide and livid, it would be a fool's task to see that he's terrified as well. And, since Richtofen doesn't take well to showing weakness in front of others, he channels that fear into more anger.]
Verdammt! [Richtofen is no longer invisible, unable to hide in the shadows, but the rest of his powers are still intact. His voice booms around the room, echoing with supernatural force.] You disgusting little rats! How dare you ruin everything like this?!
[Monsters begin to spawn and flood the room, more than ever before. Zombies shriek and screech, flaming zombie dogs tear through the floor faster than most humans can run, and sparks fly here and there as you hear the sounds of another being scraping along in the background. The zombies charge full-force, tearing at anything they can get their hands on, and whenever one is killed, two more take its place. Fires in furnaces roar, and pistons pump at full speed, threatening to crush anyone that comes in their path.
Richtofen stands in the center of it all, clearly exerting a huge amount of energy. His eye twitches, and his mouth curls into a semblance of a smile that looks more angry than delighted. When he shouts, he almost sounds as mindless as the zombies he's controlling.]
I'll kill you! I'll kill all of you!
[Good luck, everyone.]

Illusionary Room || Floor Twelve
When the light show fades, they'll have realized they have arrived on the twelfth floor. Though like the others, it seems to have been transformed by the same sort of treatment that the other floors had. The starts seem dimmer all around, a makeshift illusion of "ground" beneath their feet that was white yet lent no such security of solid footing. The fall on either side seems to be rather far and into nothing, after all. If they try to step off, they wouldn't need to worry about falling... Just alerting the creatures that lurked in the shadows. There are a few glowing yellow eyes in the mix of stars, after all.
Yet if they should look on into where the white road forks in the center of the large floor, they'll see a figure cloaked in black faintly silhouetted by the false night sky.
Do you dare approach, those who have been trapped in this world?]
Re: Illusionary Room || Floor Twelve
Truthfully, he's becoming more and more irritated by this whole affair by the hour - just what is Ganondorf after this time anyways? He doesn't let that irritation show beyond the frown on his face and fills the rest of it away into the shadows of his heart, fans it higher even - he'll need it by the end of the day. Once he would have feared using his Darkness so long, letting it fuel his being to such a degree as he has today, but those times are gone. This darkness is all his; there is really nothing to fear about that.
Way to the Dawn lies solid in his grip as he stares at the ground - he knows the scent of this particular magic; it's been etched into his mind ever since Castle Oblivion. Illusions. Distaste flickers over his face - he's never liked this type of magic much (or really anything that can mess with his senses) - but he lets his eyes follow the path towards the center anyways, narrows them when he sees the silhouette.
Well... if that doesn't look like an invitation.
He steps onto the path without a second thought, ready to face whatever may come as he makes his way to the center.
He is more than ready to end this damn game already.]

Ganon's Tower || Floor Seventy-Five
(actually killing repliku works too but that's probably not the kind of details he'd mention). Furthermore he will have opened a portal leading to the entrance of the second tower-- The place where the King of Evil currently 'hides'.Unlike the other floors, this one is not cursed. It is the same as it is normally, if only darker and protected by dark magic: you are effectively outside of the Dark World, congratulation! You could chose to exit this floor and go back to your daily life, but unfortunately the way to the exit stairs is closed by a thick darkness barrier, one that won't fall unless the Curse falls as well. In the end, that's not so different from the cursed floors...
If you chose to enter the tower and find the one who cast the curse, there are many monsters in there-- Only Darknuts, but thankfully they are easilly avoided and won't pursues characters if they engage in the staircase. Aside from the monsters there is no one to be seen in there and it is strangely calm and silent, but a presence can be felt lingering on the roof of the tower.
Getting to the tower's roof should be relatively easy if one follows the spiral staircase, though going up twenty floors may be quite tiring. Obviously flying or teleportation powers are currently blocked, and won't work to get up there.
If characters have such sensing abilities, they'll feel a strong evil and dark presence the closer they get to the top of the tower, the very same one that contaminated the cursed floors. Strangely enough, they may also feel a completely opposite presence, one of good and light... ]

The slightly stifling, evil presence made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end, a chill running down her spine the moment she set foot on the first step. But that other presence, the polar opposite... she knows that presence. And the concern for why it's there, amidst the dark aura, far outweighs any unease she might feel.
So she continues on. There won't be much time to stop and chat when she's so focused on her current goal.]
