Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.

All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.

Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.

Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patience and sanity.


Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!

• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.

• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.

• They character may have found one of the black doors of Mordor leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.

• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

The kingdom of Hyrule was flooded and lost under the Great Sea. Hardly anybody remembers it and King Daphnes made a wish for it to stay that way. So Link and I were gonna find a new place to found a kingdom, New Hyrule I'm gonna- was gonna call it.

[So the story Ganon told was true..not that Tohko doubted it was..but now she could find out why.]

..I'm sorry to hear that you can't make a New Hyrule anymore..but why was it flooded?

A long time ago, Ganondorf tried to steal the Triforce and conquer Hyrule. A Hero came, the Hero of Time who was said to be able to travel through time, and beat him and he was sealed away. A long time passed and the seal couldn't hold him anymore so he escaped and started tormenting the people. They prayed and hoped for the Hero of Time to appear but he never did and no one else could beat him. So they prayed and prayed and the Goddesses answered.

They answered by flooding and sealing away Hyrule and Ganondorf. Our ancestors climbed to the tops of the highest mountains and when the flooding was over, we had many islands spread across the Great Sea.

... King Daphnes tells it a lot better. Legends change a lot over the course of a few centuries.

[Probably. Tohko didn't doubt that for a second. However..the Goddesses reaction to the people's prayers puzzled her, and she sighed and scratched her head.]

I see..while it's good that Ganon was sealed away, couldn't the Goddesses have chosen a different way to seal him up? After all, flooding the lands probably killed quite a few people.

[Tetra didn't question it. It had been a story for her whole life, a legend that hardly anyone believed anymore. At least, not until she actually went to Hyrule and got locked in the castle basement.]

Maybe but who are we to question the goddesses? And maybe they did that because, if Ganon ever escaped again, there wouldn't be any point in conquering a forgotten realm.

[For better or worse, Tohko was the type to question gods and supernatural beings if she thought they were in the wrong or could have done better.]

We're people..but that doesn't mean we can't question them. But..that reason does make some sense. Hopefully they didn't drown anyone though. Was everyone given enough time to escape?

[Tetra wasn't. Especially with evidence of their presence in her world on the back of her hand and showing in the changed collar color.]

I don't know. I don't think so, the tales mention it as a great storm, rain falling constantly. So people had time to go if they wanted too. The goddess gave warning.

[Tohko hadn't seen any gods in her world, but she had read of them. And..if she saw any doing something she thought was wrong, she would question them about it. However, at that comment, Tohko smiled and nodded.]

Ah, alright then! As long as no one died, that's good.

[Tetra would be apalled if she heard someone besides Ganon blaspheming against the Golden Goddesses.]

Well, there are lots of people all over the Great Sea so very few did if anything.

[Thankfully, she probably wouldn't hear Tohko go against them anytime soon. Probably.]

Well..since they're goddesses, they should be able to cause a flood that doesn't kill anyone, right..?

That would mean tampering with free will and forcing people to do what the goddesses wanted.

I'm not quite sure..after all, they were just trying to seal Ganondorf away, right? I'm sure most of everyone would be behind that, but they probably wouldn't want to die themselves.

They gave notice, the people knew what was happening. To do any differently than what they did would have given Ganon the chance to escape from the same fate as Hyrule. No one wants to die but tell that to Ganon and the countless people he murdered for the sake of gaining power and conquering the kingdom. The goddesses did what they had to.

[At that, Tohko sighed. This sounded way too much like Wilhelm and his Testaments to her liking.]

So, you're saying that only the people who knew about what Ganon did and the whole story were given notice about the flood? That everyone else died? I'm not saying that Ganon should have lived..but what they did sounds almost as bad as what Ganon did.

All the people knew, not just those aware of Ganon. The Goddesses are nothing like Ganon. He doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as them.

[Tohko blinked for a moment before..sighing and trying to pat Tetra on the head.]

..Sorry about that. I misinterpreted what you said..but..I'm still not sure that there was another way to get rid of Ganon, even though flooding Hyrule would have ruined the land for him. After all..if he ever escaped, wouldn't he just want to take over what remained?

[Tohko scratched her head, trying to think this through. She didn't like Ganon-not a bit-but..it sounded like these Goddesses could have used some improving.]

There wasn't. There was no hero and only the hero can use the Master Sword and only the Master Sword can beat Ganon. So the goddesses had to step in. If anyone died, that's not because of the goddesses and it's blasphemous to say so. And the kingdom is beneath the sea, there's nothing for him to take over.

How does one become a hero worthy of the Master Sword? And if the goddesses flood caused people to die..then isn't it just being honest if you say that they killed people?

And if the Master Sword is the only thing that could kill him, if he ever broke out of his restraints, he could swim up and try to conquer what was left. I'm not saying he could..but it's probable.

I'm not a hero so I don't know what they have to do to be worthy of it. Ask a Link next time they show up, they know better than I do.

[Tetra takes a breath, clutching her hand for a moment where her piece of the Triforce is hidden.]

Let's start from the beginning: Ganon stole the Triforce of Power, so the Goddess Din can't make any moves against him so they had to affect his surroundings: Hyrule. And since he broke out of the Dark World there was no way they could use that seal so they made Hyrule one. The goddesses never killed anyone, they were safe within the seal that Hyrule became. Ganon killed them to spite the goddesses, if anything. The goddesses never killed them, they died and Ganon's army died when King Daphnes wished for Hyrule to stop being a part of our lives.

[Tohko then sighed, scratching her head and trying to fit the pieces all together.]

I understand that Din couldn't do anything..but couldn't the other Goddesses do something? And couldn't they make a different, stronger barrier separate from the Dark World and Hyrule? And why did the king wish for Hyrule to stop being a part of your lives?

They can't, the Triforce contains the essence of their power. It's like Farore or Nayru trying to fight their sister, almost. And making a new seal would have been pointless. Ganon wasn't going to go back into the dark world, he already found a way out. He could get out again.

And King Daphnes did that so that Ganon would stop trying to go after Hyrule. If there was no Hyrule, there was nothing for Ganon to conquer.

I see..then..couldn't Daphnes wished for Ganon to die? Without Ganon, Hyrule would have been saved. It wouldn't need to be flooded.

Wouldn't work. Whatever powers that the Triforce of Power gives him makes him almost impossible to kill and since wishing on the Triforce is basically asking the goddesses to do something, still not possible.

But since Ganon only has one piece of the Triforce, wouldn't wishing on the rest of it-or the whole thing, if you managed to rip away his Triforce-get him? And there's nothing wrong with asking the goddesses to do something.

Din can't touch him, and it takes all three goddesses to grant a wish. If Din can't kill him, they can't when the wish is made. It wouldn't work. And it would take someone insanely powerful to rip away his piece of the Triforce and there's no one except him that is that powerful.
