Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.

All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.

Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.

Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patience and sanity.


Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!

• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.

• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.

• They character may have found one of the black doors of Mordor leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.

• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

[Tentacles... why in the living hells of all realms did it have to be freaking tentacles?!

Her first instinct was to panic, tentacles were one of the few things that sent her into a panic due to bad memories. However, dealing with these things under water came naturally to her and she instantly vanished in plain sight...

However, if her instincts were correct... that wouldn't help much since she felt the entire pool was the enemy. Even cloaked by the shadows, she had to use her evasion skill to make herself much harder to hit for the time being while she sped up to try and escape the pool.]

[Tohko knew that jumping into the pool to save Xue was probably not the smartest thing in the world. The girl looked like she was a much better swimmer than Tohko. However that wasn't going to stop her from tossing her dagger at the woman to try and give her some protection.]

[ Indeed the shadow cloak wouldn't do much good as the gigantic tentacle would attempt to smash her down into the depths again-- The water being the enemy, it could feel where she was. However whatever curse or demon was making the water alive remained hidden.

She would feel that the very water she was swimming in was trying to drag her in the depths. The closest she would get to escape the pool, the hardest and most painful swimming would get. ]

[... TENTACLES. A giant green-liquid tentacle raising out of the swimming pool and going on the offensive, obviously hostile as it smashes and flails at the woman attempting to escape its depths. The pool didn't hold a trap to protect the large shining object. It was the trap. Hidetoshi, knowing full well he was next-to-useless in situations like this, immediately took a step back from the edge of the water but still gripping his knife, and shouting out to her;]

Hurry!

[Tohko what are you doing.]

[She's giving her weapon to the woman trying to run away so that she has a fighting chance against this tentacle monster. Tohko took a few steps back from the edge of the pool, but still prepared herself to help drag the woman out of the pool when she got close enough.]

[The water was as annoying as a black dragon in pursuit after you stole from their horde. She was trying not to think on the tentacle and just trying to swim as hard and as fast as she could. barely escaping the first blow only to get pushed down by the second.

Her panic had caused her to lose a lot of air and she had grown tired from the rush, the only chance she had was to try a shadowstep. But was she close enough?

The thrown weapon came as a boon and Xue grabbed it mid swim. She only had one shot at this so she'd make it count. As quickly as she could manage, Xue tossed the dagger with unnatural precision and strength for it being under water and used that same momentum to bolt herself closer to the surface before targeting the closest person to the edge.

Once she had a target, she instantly teleported to the shadow they were emanating behind them, finally taking a deep breath and stumbling back and away from the edge.]

Fucken' orc balls mon, I be hatin' tentacles! [She gasped out of breath. She'd need a bit to recover even with her trollish stamina and regeneration.]

[ When she managed to escape the pool, the tentacle did not pursue her, instead retreating and falling back into the swimming pool. After only a few seconds, the water was as stagnant and calm as it been before, with the pendant out of reach still floating. It was like if nothing had happened.

However, they would soon hear the sound of the lockers's doors (that got opened during dungeon exploration) closing brutally and locking. Shortly following that, the walls all around the swimming pool grew spikes-- Deadly and poisonous, making it impossible to hide or flatten against a wall.


The water remained quiet, however a distant noise could be heard from the depths of the pool, as if something was moving deep inside. ]

[How is a knife going to help against that? Oh, he sees. Hidetoshi feels a surge of relief when the woman manages to somehow successfully escape from the swimming pool, followed by the massive tentacle's (most likely temporary) retreat back into the watery depths.

It seems swimming to it will not allow them to access the shining object.

The boom of the lockers's doors slamming harshly shut, and the click of locks, the teenager glanced from the woman and Tohko to look back over his shoulder and saw the walls had grown spikes, sharp and unwelcoming. He gritted his teeth together and breathed through his nose.

His gaze then shriveled back to and remains locked on the stagnant pool again, weapon raised to a guard position. He doesn't understand half the slang the wet lady is spitting out.

What's that rumbling sound...]

[Thankfully, Tohko was not the person Xue teleported behind, but she turned to the woman anyway.]

I know..that did look pretty horrible. Are you okay?

[First, find out if the woman was fine, then devise a new battle strategy. It didn't help that Tohko was now without a weapon. She would have to ask Oz for 'Peter' later or make a new one.]

The threat lies below, and the water is one of the only ways to get the pendant too. Everyone, retreat back up the stairs. I'll electrocute the water.

[Powerful as this trap was, facing Hei on water was pure suicide. But now more ever did he need these people to get out before they rushed in again.]

[ The rumble deep within the water would become a bit louder...

Seconds after Hei spoke, the gigantic tentacle rose from the swimming pool once more and this time went after him-- Its first move would be to try and slam him into the spikes. Would it fail its second move would be to try and grab him to take him into the pool and its depths.

No one but Hei is targeted by the gigantic water tentacle. ]

[Not a good sign, and Hei's eyes were still on the water. As if on cue, he flipped to the side, dodging one of the tentacles, but the other got him, dragging him under the water. He held his breath, barely on time, and drew his knives. The familiar blue aura came, and he plunged his knives into the tentacle grabbing him. Eyes shined red, electricity discharging from the knives, and throughout his entire body. This creature needed to die, and fast. No one was in the pool, so it shouldn't have hurt anyone.]

[Chloe, knives at the ready, leaned low. The lack of a place to lurk along the walls was ... infuriating to put it mildly. She, however, crouched outside of the water and watched while Hei tried to electrocute it.

Somehow, she doubted that would be enough, though it might cause an opening to form, an opening to exploit.]

[Hidetoshi took a deep breath to steady himself. He too, watches as streams of electricity leapt from Hei into the water, into the tentacle hopefully to deal out damage and bites back the old sense of doing nothing.

Still unwilling to take his attention entirely away from the pool, he scanned the room.

While he couldn't harm the tentacles with mere throwing knives, was there something in the environment surrounding them that could be used to subdue it?]

[ Oh it wouldn't hurt anyone. And the creature quite obviously did not like the electricity at all. The rumble would now get louder, especially as the core had been hit by the electricity.

However, as Hei was under water, much like it had done for Xue he would feel the water trying to stop him from swimming and dragging him to the depths. The very surface of the water would become half solid, as if to prevent him to get back up.


Looking at the surrounding environment, it could be noticed the four chests that were once there had disappeared. However, a bigger, more royal looking one had appeared on the opposite side of the room. ]

[Both monster and water truly were an enemy. Years of training transplanted into the clone Hei had helped his swimming, hough not be too much, still a struggle for the Contractor. Water becoming solid was not a good thing either. He was thankful he was able to hold his breath before this. If he hadn't, death would have been easy for him.

He lets two of knives stuck in the tentacle, drawing his staff. If he was going to go lower, he had no choice but to try and balance it, swimming away. Another aura came, followed by another shock, though much weaker. Hei's main focus right now was trying to break through to the surface to survey the situation more, maybe even find a weakness or maybe pillars. With his wires, he did have another idea in mind.]

[If the core became visible in the course of these attacks, Chloe would let loose a knife, aimed at the only portion of the creature's sinuous, unholy and worm-like frame that appeared different. It was impossible to say if she'd have the force to connect, or if the electricity would weaken its bonds enough to make the strike, but it was worth a shot.

...this was why you carried multiple throwing knives, after all.

At the very least, it might offer a distraction so that someone else might try to reach the chest and see what was within.]

[Allelujah shot at the surface of the water, trying to break a hole in the material so Hei could swim up and out.]

[Hidetoshi, deciding he would be at the best a burden in combat against what abomination lurked in the depths of the swimming pool, makes a break for the royal-like chest on the other side of the room the moment Chloe offers a distraction. He can't fight very well. Seeing if the chest held anything of help would be of greater aide than him attacking.

Skittering around the edge of the pool, he runs sneakily and quietly to try reaching the chest while the others of the group viciously attack the tentacled creature.]

[ Thanks to Chloe and Allelujah's attacks as well as Hei's own efforts, there would be an opening and enough time for Hei to reach the surface and leave the swimming people if so he desired to do. The tentacle fades back into the water, however the green water is no longer quiet. The grumbles is now loud as if something was about to surface and the water can be seen trembling.


Hidetoshi would be able to reach the chest without any difficulty, the tentacle absolutely ignoring his existence, for now. ]

[ A very bright light comes out from this chest as you open it...

You got the Hookshot!
It extends! It retracts! It latches onto things! What a cool invention!

Use it to grapple items or enemies out of your reach so you can reel them in from where you stand. ]

[Tohko, who had been trying to keep out of the way since she didn't have a good weapon and couldn't fight well bare-handed, saw what Hidetoshi was doing, got..and decided to give him some advice.]

Use it to grab the pendant!

[Xue finally blinked the dots from her vision away as she saw the team struggling. Tentacles or not, they all needed to work together and she finally got up. She drew her swords and made her way back to help out the team.

If there was only a way to drag the creature's core out, should it even make it visible to them to begin with, maybe they can deal some damage and end it's miserable life.]

[Hidetoshi was now a target in Hei's eyes once he finally reached the surface again, panting to regain some air. The creature would no doubt go after him, unless he somehow drew the creature to him.

Then an idea came, and he came back onto dry land. Again, the familiar aura was summoned, eyes glowing as he summoned more electricity. He only let it loose in his hands now, both within the water. The creature needed to be lured, and with Xue near him, hopefully a critical blow could be achieved. Hopefully.]

[Thanks his lucky stars the tentacle didn't notice he existed at all.

Hidetoshi hurriedly yanks the hookshot out of the chest the second the lid opens and... examines it for a second or two, trying to work out its function before it clicks in his mind. It was some kind of modified grapple hook, it seemed. At Tohko's shout, he glances up at her, and then at the heaving surface of the pool, and then at the floating pendant. His expression says I have no idea if this device can reach that far without the monster stopping it, Tokho.

He awkwardly attaches it to his arm and gets ready to use it anyway.

Hidetoshi's on one side of the room and the teams' on the opposite side, Hei with that electrical aura glowing around him again, shocking the water once more and Xue gearing up for another attack.

What was about to raise out of the pool's depths?]
