[Dark World Event] || [The Evil Realm] || [Open] || [2/3]

Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.

All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.

Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.

Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patience ~~and sanity~~.

Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!

• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.

• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.

• They character may have found one of the black doors ~~of Mordor~~ leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.

• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

[As Luffy cried out, he would hear a sound like his voice was echoing. But something about that echo was warped and twisted, as if someone had put his words through a meat grinder before feeding them out into the air again. That was his Dark Self, yelling out the same battle cries at the same time.

As Luffy's fist shot like a bullet at his Dark Self, his Dark Self used the same technique. The fist, dark gray in color, streaked across the room toward Luffy.

If it's any consolation, at least his Dark Self would end up in the same sort of bind if he missed.]

[There's a flash of crimson, much like a siren's light flashing in the dark. It covers his eyes as he feels himself falling backwards, the better half of his torso numb and swollen from the immediate damage of the solid bone fist that slammed into him.

Yet..

As he flew back, feeling his consciousness leave for but a moment, a grin flashed across his mouth, bearing his teeth as he finally found the earth with a thud. His body slammed into the dirt, his hand shrinking after making an impact against his dark doppelganger. With that all too familiar snap, his arm retracts as steam rises from his body.

Where Luffy once lay, a miniature version of the pirate now lay in his place. The results of his GEAR power has rendered him "chibi" for the next two minutes, unable to stretch or use his powers until his form returns to normal.]

"Waaah~! I thought I was a goner there!"

[Sitting up straight, the tiny Luffy spits out a small spat of red, wiping his mouth clean on his tiny, straw-width arm.]

"Wonder if he took it worse than me.."

[When Luffy spots his Dark Self, he'll be able to tell that while it shared his strengths, it also seemed to share his weaknesses. A chibi version of Dark Luffy was already getting to his feet. He staggered slightly before he found his footing, but otherwise, he seemed unfazed by the attack.

Despite his small size, Dark Luffy seemed determined to continue the fight. He charged forward, fists raised, intent to cause some damage to Luffy even without his full set of powers. All that came from Dark Luffy's mouth was an inhuman roar, just a gravelly imitation of the real thing.]

[Call it spur of the moment, call it impromptu-battle strategies. However you'd like to call it, Luffy was always one to try the weird and risky in a fight. Figuring that perhaps this strange apparition might in some way be destructible, Luffy stands at the ready, counting down the seconds before he'd revert back to normal. He had a few seconds ahead of the shadow, and he'd risk it all on that.

He plants his feet against the floor, not bothering with raising his hands. He keeps them at his waist, right at the ready, taking the punches head on as they come at him.]

[Dark Luffy's onslaught is brutal and unrelenting. He doesn't stop to think about why Luffy isn't hitting him back. It seems like this clone's ultimate purpose is to kill Luffy, and he's trying his best to do what he's programmed to do.

The punches hit at irregular intervals, moving from Luffy's face to his stomach and back again, with no end in sight. Finally, Dark Luffy draws back his fist as far as it'll go in his current state, clearly intending for his next punch to knock Luffy off his feet.]

[His gambled paid off, or so he hoped. As he drew in a breath of air as the clone let up to release one final punch, the young pirate felt his limbs pop back to their full length. A small puff of smoke and Luffy was his original size once more.

Instantaneously, Luffy took the opportunity to stretch his mouth open. It would be a long shot, but it might just work. Maybe the shadow was made out of some strange candy? Maybe a Devil's Fruit power that made cotton candy into people? If it did any damage he'd be satisfied, but he'd have to bite down first.

His lips stretched open, his mouth now the size of a gigantic fishing net. He draped his cavernous mouth high and round enough to cover the size of the still miniature Luffy, hoping to swallow him in one quick gulp.]

[Luffy's plan progressed smoothly for about two seconds. However, as soon as his mouth descended on Dark Luffy, he popped back to his normal size, too. Dark Luffy placed his hands and feet on the top and bottom of Luffy's mouth, then stretched his limbs as far as he could go in an attempt to keep Luffy's mouth open.]

[If he could pull this off, he'd be home free, he thought. He wasn't 100% on the idea of eating some one, but it was worth a shot. Hopefully with the clone's limbs doing their best to keep the weight of his jaws from clenching down on him, he would fail to notice that Luffy had stretched his arms out and over to the lone tree.

He took a firm hold of the aging wood, the tension from his hands building as he began to try and step backwards. Under the inability to use his mouth to form words, Luffy merely cried out as his body snapped back and towards the tree. His arms held on the tree as they rushed towards it, hoping that the figure would meet its end on the skewer of a tree branch, or worse. If it came at the price of injuring himself, he was sure he would live through it.]

[With all of his limbs occupied, Dark Luffy was unable to block the impact from the tree. He took the blunt trauma from the trunk well, but a jutting branch caught him just between the place where his torso and his left arm met. At such a velocity, the branch pierced his skin easily, and Dark Luffy let out an inhuman cry of pain.

His injured arm snapped back to a normal size, and blood dripped down his torso and the crook of his arm. The other arm remained elastic, and Dark Luffy attempted to wrench the top of Luffy's head backward.]

[His head jerked back, the sudden tug forcing his view away from the clone. With a gasp for air and his tongue hanging out like a panting dog, Luffy's arm released the tree and raised back behind his head. He stretched his arms out at full length, trembling and bouncing like power lines in a strong gale.

With the crushing force of a stampede, Luffy brought both arms back towards the clone. Regardless if he had a hold on his mouth, Luffy would try and attempt to push the shadow into the tree even more. Pinned, it would have no ability to move, and if he had to hit himself in the stretched out cheeks to do it, then so be it, he thought.]

[Though Dark Luffy twisted and stretched in an obvious attempt to find a way out, Luffy's attack hit him head-on. Dark Luffy's limbs snapped back to their normal size, and he slammed into the tree with such force that it splintered, leaving him with a myriad of small cuts and gashes all over his body.

The only noise that came from the copy was a gurgling whine.]

[The force of the attack sent Luffy back a number of feet, barely able to find his footing in the shallow water. His jaw snapped back to its normal length and shape, flashing into another confident grin as he looked over the clone's prediciment.

Bending at the knees, and turning his stance sideways so that only his left side faced the clone, Luffy's body began to turn a deep shade of pink. Smoke plummed from his feet, steam rising off of his flesh like hot water exposed to freezing air. Bursting from where he stood, Luffy rushed at the clone in what he hoped would be the final time. His hands didn't stretch, they wouldn't need to. His fists would rise from their "chambers" and fly out like bullets when he closed the distance.]

"JET.. GATTLING GUN!"

[A barrage of numerous punches pushed past the clone, punching as if they were trying to attack through the dark figure. They crashed like lightning against the Earth, slamming his opponent with unyielding strength. He jumped back after the first volley, standing at the ready to see if the shadow would still be standing after his initial attack.]

[While Luffy readied his attack, Dark Luffy pulled himself off of the tree. His front was covered in puncture wounds and scratches from the tree, and a few splinters still stuck in his body here and there, but he didn't seem deterred. His red-eyed glare was as cold as ever, and, though he stumbled where he stood, he didn't seem to register any pain.

Dark Luffy let the attacks come, stretching his body in an attempt to lessen the blows from Luffy's fists. For the most part, it worked; the punches pushed at him, but never through him, and his bones and organs stretched to accommodate the blows. But the longer the attack went on, the more it would become apparent that the injuries he'd sustained earlier had taken their toll on him.

The small puncture wounds from the tree trunk stretched and ruptured, until every hit sent droplets of blood to splash in the shallow water at their feet. By the time Luffy was finished, Dark Luffy was bleeding profusely, swaying on his feet as if the very act of standing straight had become a chore.

Still, he never stopped glaring. Keeping his gaze locked on Luffy's, Dark Luffy bent his knees in a copy of the stance that Luffy had assumed a moment earlier. His gray skin darkened until it was almost black, and smoke rose off of him in wisps. The blood seemed to drip faster from his body, and Dark Luffy's chest heaved with every breath he took.

Slowly, Dark Luffy began to stretch both of his arms backward. This upset the few rips and tears that were in his arms, but he didn't seem to care. Self-preservation didn't seem to be in the forefront of the clone's mind. Once they were as far back as he could stretch them, Dark Luffy gave a feral roar. He let both arms snap back, sending his fists toward Luffy with all the force of two bullets.]

[Luffy merely stood his ground, taking the impact of both shots as his mouth dropped open like a window slamming down upon the sill. Blood spat out past his gums, coughing up a good amount into the air before bending at the waist. His body could barely handle the shock of the attack, his eyes almost going completely white as the pain rocked not only his stomach, but his pride.

He didn't bother to stretch, he didn't bother to move or dodge. This was insulting, he thought. He reached out a hand towards the shadow, grabbing it tightly by the throat. Luffy had never killed before, and he wasn't about to start. Merely, he got himself a good hold before cocking back his free hand into a punch. The heat of the steam rising from his skin was boiling hot, being this close to him was sure to cause any normal person a bit of discomfort. With the shadow in his clutches, Luffy pulled back and pushed forth his hand like a swinging pendulum, repeatedly punching his attack in the face.]

"IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT?! ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE JUST AS STRONG AS ME?! DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME WITH THAT WEAK-ASS PUNCH!"

[Dark Luffy's jaw swung back and forth with every punch, his face stretching to accommodate each blow. His skin still hissed with steam, and the increased blood flow in his body made him bleed out much faster than any normal person would from wounds that size.

He tried to stretch his arms for another attack, but they wobbled unsteadily the farther he back he pulled them. The ruptures in his arms had grown to great sizes, and, while the clone couldn't feel pain like a normal human could, its body was still affected by the usual limitations. The lack of blood was clearly taking its toll.

Blood spilled over Dark Luffy's lower lip unevenly, dripping down his chin and smearing over Luffy's hand every time he was hit with a punch. One of his arms seemed to give in to the strain, and it snapped back to his side uselessly. The other kept going until it reached the tree, where it groped around until it felt a branch. Dark Luffy snapped one off, then let his arm sail back toward Luffy, gripping the branch in his fist like a dagger.]

[Well, that was unexpected.

It was a sensation that Luffy knew. There's a sudden chill as a sharp, wave of pain ran up his spine and out to his toes. He stopped suddenly, his hands ceasing their barrage as he took a few steps back. He knew what had happened, but it was still nonetheless shocking.

He looked to his stomach, seeing the branch sticking from his flesh. It was deep enough to do some serious damage, and without Chopper here, Luffy couldn't tell if the wound was fatal.

He merely stared for a few moments, which seemed to stretch like hours to him. Slowly, he lifted his head, his eyes piercing across the mist to his attacker as a deep groan bellowed from his throat.

His hands came to the branch, gripping it and foolishly ripping it from his stomach like a sword from a sheath. Cocking his arms back above his head, Luffy threw the blood-slinging branch towards the clone as if it were a spear.]

"I ASKED YOU A QUESTION! IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT?!"

[Dark Luffy's arm sailed back as soon as he stabbed the branch into Luffy's stomach. It whipped around like an overused rubber band, and when it finally returned to its normal size, it looked crooked and unnatural. He grit his teeth and glared, but his gaze was unfocused.

Somehow, Dark Luffy managed to summon up the strength to move his arm in front of his face like a shield when Luffy threw the branch right back at him. That appeared to be as much as he could do, however, because his arm didn't balloon up, or stretch, or do anything but absorb the blow. The branch hit his wrist, embedding itself so deeply that the edge nearly poked out of the other side.

Dark Luffy gave an angry growl, but the sound lacked venom. His feet swished limply through the shallow water as his knees went weak. He was still alive, but the only thing keeping him standing was Luffy's hand around his throat.

Luffy's dark self kept his arm, branch sticking out of it, in front of his face, but he made no move to attack.]

"Now's my chance.."

[Clenching his fists for what he hoped would be the last time in this scuffle, Luffy summoned up a burst of energy and dashed towards his opponent.]

"YOU'RE STRONG, BUT YOU'RE NOT ME! NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOOK LIKE ME, YOU CAN'T FIGHT FOR WHAT I'M FIGHTING FOR!"

[Bending his knees, he shot up from a crotch and soon was a great many feet above his shadow. He brought his feet together, clapping them together with a deafing "CRACK".]

"FOR MY FRIENDS, AND FOR FREEDOM! YOU DON'T HAVE THE SAME WILL AS I DO!"

[With the belly of the clone exposed, Luffy did his best to aim his swift, pointed kick towards the belly of the beast. Sharing the same strength and speed of his last attacks, the kick was true and straight. He was confident the shadow could handle it, being that it was in his "image", but there was more behind the attack than brute power.]

"GOMU-GOMU NO~ SPEAR!"

[Dark Luffy swayed and craned his neck, holding his arms out like he was ready to embrace the blow. He let out a guttural growl and spread his arms and legs, intending to take the brunt of the blow.

He attempted to stretch, but he only managed to warp his body about half as much as he usually would have been able to before things started to give. His body began shrinking back in on itself, and he was able to absorb less and less of the blow, until eventually, he found himself crashing against the ground.

The water underneath of him sprayed outward with the force of his impact, creating a surprisingly large splash. The magnitude of the blow seemed to have done a great deal, because Dark Luffy didn't move or attempt a counter-attack, he just let out a ragged cough as his body was thrown to the ground.]

"... Uhn?"

[When he landed in the water, he had remained at the ready in case his attack had gone awry. After waiting a few moments, he straightened his stance and tilted his head to the side. Like an overly-curious bird, Luffy bobbed his head back and forth from where he stood, looking towards the fallen shadow with concern.]

"Oi, you still alive?"

[He casually walked towards the seemingly "defeated" clone, a hand held close to his open wound. He was still in pain, but it wasn't enough just yet to register. He still had a mountain of adrenaline pumping through his system. When he finally stood before the faux Luffy, he simply kicked it with his closest foot, trying to stir the creature awake.]

"Can you let me out of here now, please? I kinda' gotta' meet back up with my friend."

[After being kicked, Dark Luffy's arm stretched up toward Luffy's neck. It seemed as if he was going to grab him by the throat, but at the last second, the arm stilled. It hovered there for a few seconds, trembling slightly, and then shrunk back to its normal size and splashed back into the water.

Dark Luffy's body lay there for another moment, then slowly sunk into the floor and disappeared. The door to the room clicked open.
