[Dark World Event] || [The Evil Realm] || [Open] || [2/3]
Characters: Anyone who signed up for the Dark World Plot! Look at tag list for more details.
Setting: The 4th and 5th of March. Located in the Cursed Floors + Ganon's Tower (Floors 6, 7, 8, 12, 62, 65, 68, 70, 73 and 79 + Floor 75).
Format: Most likely action but left at the players's discretion.
Summary: Your character somehow got trapped in the Forest Floor of the Tower-- And it looks nothing like the Forest Floor the characters remember. It's the beginning of the Dark World. Some floors look pretty different from what they did before, some nearly identical. The only way to get out is to go through the dungeons that make up this Dark World.
All characters start out in the Dark Forest, then as they go throughout the forest, they magically walk into one of the three dungeons (the one they have been assigned to). By exploring the dungeons, they will acquire one of the three Pendants that lead to the Core of the Curse, from where the cursed floors can be ended. However, Richtofen is there and happy to make sure that won't be that easy.
Mingle threads are simply for Mingle, whereas the exploration of the dungeons, puzzles, etc happens in the Exploration threads. OOC information here.
Warning: While your character may survive fine and all, the dark world is a dangerous place with lots of monsters and puzzles to solve. Characters may get harmed or killed, but that is left to the players's discretion. Characters going through the water of temple may lose their patienceand sanity.
Arrival in the Dark World
Here are simply listed the three different ways your characters may have gotten dragged into the Dark World. Note this can be a combination of many of these ways, feel free to pick how your characters arrived in!
• The character may simply have been present on the floor when Ganondorf cursed it. That's really… Bad luck? If that is how it happened, the character would have been immediately transported into the Dark Forest Floor. If they arrived before the 4th of March, they would have been unable to leave this floor for three days. Which may be pretty unnerving.
• The character may have been caught by a floormaster or wallmaster somewhere throughout the tower, and cast into the Dark World. Floormasters and Wallmasters are gigantic and creepy black, red or purple hands that come out from either the floor or the ceiling and take characters to another part of the tower, point in case the Dark Forest.
• They character may have found one of the black doorsof Mordor leading into the cursed floors. Out of luck, a creepy black hand similar to that of wallmaster could have come out of from the door and have dragged them in.
• The last option is the simplest, Ganondorf hided in the shadows and cast a spell on you that teleported you right into the Dark Forest. This option is mostly directed to those who have past history with Ganondorf or who are known to be close of Princess Zelda, Link and Tetra.

Illusionary Room
Ganon's Tower

Of all the people to step forward first... it had to be you, Riku.
[How amused they sound, but was that an undercurrent of disappointment and another unnamed emotion?]
no subject
Interesting word choice. Have you been expecting someone else?
[That ring of disappointment seems to suggest something like that, at least. Not that Riku cares.]
1/2
As Riku grows closer, the image is clearer; the Organization coat, something from his world. Either they know more about him then they are letting on, or the illusions are just that good.]
Nah. It's just ironic. [The smirk is still evident, even though-]
2/2 wow computer
[...Wait, where did he go? There's no way someone can just disappear into thin air, right?]
I am just like you, or is it the other way around this time?
[It came from behind...]
no subject
Then he hears the voice behind him and feels that feeling of déjà vu pass over him. They've been here before, haven't they? Still he pushes away his unease and snorts.]
'Just like me', huh? Don't make me laugh.
[The urge to turn towards where he's hearing that voice is strong, but he resists it - he is surrounded by illusions and he knows well enough how easily eyes and ears are tricked by those. Instead he concentrates on the one sense he knows he can trust, because while the scent of a heart can be disguised and can never be quite hidden.
He trusts in both the light and the dark and their ability to lead him to the truth, he always will and that's why he rather turns into the direction they point out to him - Keyblade lifting and ready to crack down on whatever illusion he might find there. He is done playing games.]

[The sound of a blade summoning is unmistakeable, just as the sight of darkness warping around it to create a blade of its own. As it happens, part of the illusion fades, only to reveal the source of the voice. Though this heart, could it really be-?
Well, the clues had been there. The day before this simply dreadful curse befell some of the floors, hadn't there been one person who was acting strange? And the next morning, hadn't their presence disappeared from the tower? Or was it simply a whisper? He'd seen all of them, hadn't he?
Save for one.
The Replica stands there, just outside of normal striking distance. Hood lowered to show his face, expose his presence unlike the coat and newly acquired power of invisibility allowed for. It was like a veil, really.
An empty smirk crosses his lips.]
Surprised?
[He should be.]
no subject
He feels his stomach drop just then as everything falls into place: he hadn't quite thought anything wrong when the other had acted strangely the day before - everybody has an off-day every now and then after all - but he had been wondering, just where he was in this mess, if Ganondorf has disregarded it (had really hoped that this was the case), if the other was even aware of what was going on...
Clearly, he had been.
If Riku were the type to curse, this is where he'd start.
Stupid disney contract, really. The expression on his face is pained as regards the other - this isn't a fight he wants - pained, but determined.]
More than I should be.
[He should have known that something was wrong.]

A flicker of a feeling like he'd done the same thing what then had felt like another lifetime ago.
There is no movement to attack yet; no provocation to. There's just so much he wants to tell his real thing, but it will have to wait for when the walls have less eyes than usual. He can't reveal himself to even be a neutral party, and it's not even for his own self-preservation.
It's silent compared to everything else, but that urge to swear was not lost on him either. No... He was simply the curse instead.]
And that's why every single one of you fell right into his trap. [He shrugs it off almost impassively, gesturing to the other three paths.] You let his and that fool's tricks distract you. Not once did you even think to try and find another way out, did you? No; you followed his paths right to the scientist he placed "in charge"... and then to me.
[If anything... he's angry and disappointed. Was he really based on such an idiot?]
No matter which way you go now, he'll use it as an excuse to belittle you, your friends, and the other saps who were pulled in here even further.
[To use you all like he has from the start.]

Back then, their fight had represented the struggle against who he once had been to him, the last roar of his past persona , the battle that would decide who 'Riku' would become. Looking back, he sometimes finds himself regretting the outcome - but he has long understood that their powers had been too even back then, too closely matched to allow any other result. One way or another, only one of them could have moved on at that time.
Given Xion's ultimate fate that really makes him wonder... is there really no way for Copy and Original to co-exist? (Though... they seemed to have managed fine in the Tower so far... but given where they are now, maybe he's just been kidding himself.)
He banishes that haunted look from his face and raises an eyebrow at the other's rant. If the Replica had hoped to get a rise out of him with that... well, he'll have to do better in that case.]
Wouldn't be the first time it happens. Wouldn't be the first time it fails either.
[Castle Oblivion had been quite the same after all... a set-up to lure Sora further and further up, to steal and wrap his memories and render him into a puppet... and well, they both know just how well that had worked.
There had been repercussions of course, Riku is more aware of that than anyone - and there will be consequences to this too, even if they do manage to stop Ganondorf, there always. He is, admittedly, not quite as confident as his words may convoy, he has been on both sides of the picture, and he knows that it's not as easy as to charge ahead and deal with most visible threat - there are always background politics, always strings and forces that are unseen by all those acting in the foreground; he'd know, he'd been there too.
He doesn't know anything about the background movements of this situation though, and that will certainly be a disadvantage at some point - he just knows it.]
If you are so invested in any of us getting to where we are really needed- [As oppose to where Ganondorf wants them to be.] -then how about you give me a hint?
[This does work both ways. Riku could have attempted to find another way out aside of the one that Ganondorf has laid out for them... but given where the Replica is standing right now, he probably isn't entirely blame-free either.]
