[Luke? Luke is not okay. Sure, he was a lot calmer than what he was when his real body was revealed, but he is not okay. He's shaking, despite keeping a tight grip on Tear's wire hand, and trying not to panic.]

[He's not... real. He's not alive. Well, sure, he's alive, but not exactly... it's more like he exists, than being alive. He just... he can't process that; he always kept saying on how when they got out of the Tower, they'd do stuff. He wanted to save Auldrant, he wanted to see all the other worlds, and help where he could. He wanted to do all sorts of things...]

[But there was no way he could like this...]

[Luke took a shuddering breath, trying not to panic again. No, he didn't need to be slapped again, as he had no doubt Tear would do. H-he needed to focus, he needed to find the others. Ion, Anise... even Asch was probably freaking out over this.]

[He squeezed Tear's hand a little tighter, hoping she would be okay too...]

[Tear had slipped into what she liked to think of as 'soldier mode', the practical, rational side that she'd cultivated that Luke hated, the side that made it nearly impossible for her to freak out like she wanted. Her life on Auldrant was gone, stolen from her so that she was trapped in this horrible tower of lies.

She didn't even have her own body! The words from the invitation about having something real rang through her head as she and Luke moved around the tower together. Although their bodies weren't real, Luke was, dammit, and she wasn't letting him go without a hard, long fight.

She could understand how and why he'd flipped out the way he had, but she needed him to be functional at least. They couldn't afford to be out of commission while they couldn't access their artes and were forced to rely on their weapons skills only. The monsters were still real, and that howl that reverberated throughout the tower had her a little worried.]

I'm okay, Luke. I promise you. I just want to check on the others.

I...I know, I just...

[Yeah, talking about it was difficult right now. All that was running through his head was the fact that he wasn't even real. He forced out a breath, giving her a nod; he'd... he'd be all right. He had to be.]

We do need to look out for them. Even Asch, I... I can't imagine him taking this well.

[He tried to keep his tone light hearted, but honestly? He was surprised he didn't hear the howls of rage yet.]

[As someone who'd spent months watching Luke, Tear could tell that he wasn't okay. She might not have been able to see his face because of this, but his tone of voice was enough for her to know.

She's not okay, so she understands. But, she needs him to support her right then. Yes, holding his hand is good and well and keeps her grounded, even with the bump on her head making it difficult to think sometimes, but she needs to deal with Luke right now.]

Luke...you don't have to hide this from me. Why don't you tell me what's wrong before we go on? I-I can't imagine this is going easy for you after everything we've talked about.

[...how to even explain what he was feeling? There was so much...]

We're... not alive. We're not even really people, we're just... we're just this-- [He jabbed toward his soul stuck in the middle of himself.] --stuck in wire. We're just existing, and I...

[He trailed off, looking down at the hand he was clinging to.]

...for the longest time, I... almost didn't think I was human because I was a replica. And now... I...

[Fayt had darted out of the dorms in search of answers after the system failure had revealed the truth of their bodies. There was no time to let this get to him when this was probably only the start of things going wrong right now, and that howl was more than enough reason to be concerned as it was. Sword in hand and cursing the dim lighting, he'd made his way down the tower...

When he spotted the two familiar faces. He waves as he approaches, which probably looks more than a little weird considering.] Hey!

[mysterical]

[Tear turns, ready to strike out with the staff in the hand not gripping Luke's tightly. She knows the voice and he's one of the ones she wanted to check in with, but she's still not sure what's going on and she's not taking chances.]

Fayt? You're...okay, right?

[Oh... hey! That was the kid he was sparring with the other day...]

[...he really didn't want to see what the meadow floor looked like right now. He was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to take it.]

Yeah, you all right?

[It's... not like he could tell if he was injured. These bodies were so weird.]

Excuse me.

[His tone was as solid as steel underneath the mask of politeness that he threw on for good measure, belaying a resolve that was cobbled together with scraps of flimsy wire and crumbling cement underneath the facade. Barnaby approached the pair leaving the media room at a brisk pace, hoping to catch them before they got any further.]

What's the status in the media room? Is it any different?

[There had to be a clue. He wasn't dealing with this madness again.]

[There was a voice she knew and could recognize.] Mr Brooks. I am glad to see that you're still sane. The media room is as dark as the rest of the tower.

It's... kinda creepy in there right now. I wouldn't go in if I were you.

[All of the floors were really creepy, so that didn't say much at this point.]

[And find a princess they will at the top of the Tower. Zelda still remains near the elevator on the first dormitory floor - one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the Tower - though by now she's dragged a chair-shaped piece of film from one of the terminal alcoves for her to sit in.

The box that's responsible for all this sits in her lap, making her easily recognizable to anyone in the know.]

Yes, yes, we were!

[mysterical]

[The trek to the dormitories from the media room was tricky, but she figured it was a safe bet and a place to find most of those they were worried about.

She spotted the figure sitting down in the chair and the box... The box was more than a little familiar. Determined to talk to Zelda, Tear dragged Luke along with her, not paying attention to the fact that she might have been pulling too hard on his arm.]

[Luke let out a curious noise, wondering why Tear was suddenly tugging on him like that. He blinked over at the figure sitting alone, not recognizing her from just her film and wireframe. The box, however...]

Ah...! Those fonchips!

[...were the chips responsible for breaking down the systems in the Tower? If so... holy crap; what the hell were those things made of?]

[The indigo figure looks up at the boy's exclamation, recognizing the voice just enough to place a name to it. Luke, wasn't it...? Then the woman must be Tear.

She won't make any assumptions out loud, however, and instead picks something neutral to greet the pair with.]

Is there anything I can do for you...?

[Accelerator had happened to bump into these two when he was caught in the hallway. He'd been out and about when shit hit the fan. Of course, he had not seen this coming, but it was no surprise to him. Again, he likened this place to Academy City. Those bastards would have no problem taking someone's brain or whatever and sticking it in an artificial body. After all, hadn't they cloned the Railgun? And been involved in countless similar projects? Sure, this was...different, but not all that unfathomable thanks to the all the shit he'd seen Academy City do.]

Tch. So I'm guessing everyone's losing their shit, eh? But then again, I'm from a city that cloned the same girl 20,000 times and linked them all through a brainwave network. This shit's pretty tame. They could have at least made us look more human.

[Tear racked her brain to place the voice. She was usually good at identifying others, but without actual facial features, this was a bit beyond even her grasp.

But then the disdain clicked and she remembered white hair and a scowl and a boy wishing he could send her home because she seemed...nice.]

Is that you, Accelerator? [Lorelei, she hoped she had that name right.]

[At any other time, Rise would've teased them mercilessly about that hand-holding the instant she recognised them. Right now, it's all too understandable, and not something to laugh about at all. Touching someone else, and feeling their solidness and warmth, was just about the only thing that still seemed relatively normal, the only sense that wasn't being overloaded with about twenty different kinds of what the heck by the Glamour failure.

For now, she's just glad they're not absolutely freaking out, like she'd seen some people doing. For now, she just wants to check in with all the people she cares about, and Luke--and Tear too, though she's still a pretty new addition--is definitely on that list.]

Luke! Tear! Hey!

[Luke let out a curious noise at the voice, though it was the pigtails he recognized first.]

Rise! Are you all right?

[Tear could feel her face going into a confused look until Luke called out the other girl's name. Although, she's on edge and not sure if she can handle any teasing about her relationship with Luke right now.]

Rise, I'm glad to see that you're okay, relatively speaking.

[She gives a nod, her head turned toward Luke first, then Tear.]

Yeah, I'm okay. This is really weird though, even for this place.

I'm glad you guys are okay too, and that you found each other. Being alone when things are like this just makes it scarier somehow.

[A tall mans' frame with long flowing bits of violet-threaded film hanging down his back stands in the doorway to his Dormitory as Luke & Tear come down the corridor, or more accurately he's closer to the middle of the hallway staring into the room. Every night for a long time he'd returned here to sleep, after a fashion. Every time he'd wake up after a death and lain there in paralysis. After being rebuilt and locked in again.

The thought was enough to shudder at. Afterward Sephiroth drew a steadying breath and muttered. Uncaring who might be listening, though his red-wired companion doesn't appear to be around for the time being.]

But of course, how else could it be.

[Luke couldn't help but be curious after hearing what the strange, tall man muttered, even as Tear was tugging him along down the hallway. He peered around him curiously as they passed... and ended up stopping dead in his tracks when he saw what was really in their dorm rooms.]

T-that's where we've been sleeping?!

[mysterical]

[Tear notices the tall man too, but her eyes are riveted to the pod with the violet liquid shining in it. Slowly, her free hand comes up to her mouth and she has to bite her fingers to keep from screaming. That tiny pod is what she's been sleeping in every night since she came to this hell?

Although, again, it's Luke that keeps her from completely freaking out.]

[The head of Sephiroth's wire-frame turns just over it's jumpsuit-clad shoulder to peer down at the two that had just passed behind him. Of course he had noticed them coming but he's not the one to interact so freely.]

Violet on the outside, violet on the inside. Makes too much sense, doesn't it?

[His tone is musing as he comments. Though edged with his simmering anger.]
