[Waver had finally collapsed on the hidden floor after the chips has been disabled, simply dropping into a chair and passing out cold over a desk. Beside him was the usual silver maid dressed in red and gold, somehow managing to look as though she was at a loss for what to do now. Eventually, she settled on cleaning up the wayward bits and pieces left scattered around in the total chaos.]

[When Xion spots Waver, she makes a beeline over. She doesn't want to disturb him though so in the end she merely sits down next to him, smiling almost sadly. She speaks quietly, maybe enough to wake him if he's a light sleeper, but she's not trying to, really.]

I'm sorry. I didn't do a good job being careful. [beat] It was worth it though.

[By this point, Samus has long-dismissed her half-a-power-suit and has taken to walking a bit slowly - even with Yukiko's healing, that strike she took from the electro-whips still smarts. Her slower pace is all she's doing to show it, though. There's a slight air of relaxed relief about her, however.

Truth be told, she was expecting to be walking back with a lot less people - if she got to walk back at all. She's certainly not complaining, however.]

Is this happening on the Hidden Floor?

[Samus might be trying to hide that she's still smarting from the way Riki weaponized the Machine Room, but the targeting systems in David's helmet can make out that she's not been completely relieved of her injuries.]

[So here comes a man clearly over the hill and yet wearing his own suit of powered armor, floating through the air as if he were skating on ice.]

Heyas, you still needin' to get patched up?

[Oh, and that thick Rhode Islander's accent, can't forget that.]

[As soon as the mission is over, Ryoji makes sure to head to a safe place. He keeps an eye on his friends and family, but he doesn't hang back. He's exhausted enough that he's allowing himself a little selfishness.

He's about ready to head to bed and actually sleep for once... but if he makes eye contact with someone, he'll smile and wander over for a quick chat.]

Thank you for the help.

[He didn't do much to assist with the disabling of the chips, so the most he can do is thank those who had the abilities to help.]

[This time, it's entirely too appropriate to giggle with relief. As tired as she is, Yukiko is genuinely happy. The peace won't last, she knows, but for right now, she wants to focus on the fact that they'd done what they had set out to do, and without any casualties.]

I still can't entirely believe we did it...

[As soon as his energy levels start returning, Diarmuid is back on his feet looking for something to do. He had hated having to sit out on the final part of disabling the chips, but he'd had no choice in the matter. What good can one do when they can hardly walk, let alone aim and set off an EMP blast?

Thankfully, the others had been able to finish what was started. Even better, Diarmuid has started seeing people who he knows went downstairs returning. Does that mean they were successful? What had happened?

Diarmuid pushes his questions to the side for a moment, so he can gather together what food and drink is left from their planning before and work after. Then, he dashes down to his room to get what he has stored away. Some dried food along with some tea and cider--thanks to Rick--might not be much, but something tells him the returning people will be grateful for whatever there is.

Once things are set up, Diarmuid starts scanning the faces of those who have returned. He's looking for a good many faces and won't relax completely until he sees them all...]

[And when she sees Diarmuid, Xion all but rushes over, and, without a word of warning, tackles him in a hug.]

[To say that Yukiko looks wiped out is an understatement. She's wobbly on her feet and she's limping a bit because of the whip-strike to her legs. Once she finally goes to bed, chances are good that she'll sleep the clock all the way around at least once. Despite all that, she's smiling brightly.

It's always a good thing knowing you've gone into a fight - and it was one, considering everything that had happened downstairs - and come out the other side in one piece. It's even better knowing that everyone else had made it back in one piece.]

[Riku sees her wobbling over there, and wish a swish of his Keyblade, he sends a Curaga spell her way. Sure, he should probably conserve his strength, but after all the healing she did, she deserves at least a little boost.

Once he's cast his spell, he moves over to her, wearing a small smile.]

Hey, you did good back there. Without your healing, I doubt we would've made it this far.

[Feferi's in the hidden room, head propped up on one hand. Every once in a while, her eyes close and her face fins droop, but she jolts awake a few minutes later. She's doing her best to keep an eye out for the downstairs team, but she's exhausted.

She's also bandaged up, having seen the worse end of a tray of medical instruments. That's what being tired and seeing things will do to you.]

[Having woken up a few minutes ago, sat up and rubbed at the back of his neck where he'd been resting funny Sephiroth notices Feferi as she's the closest to where he crashed. Some odd sort of familiarity where his almost-over stumbles had led him, close to the one he'd worked with; as if in some way he felt more justified in her company.

On the contrary to the heavy-lidded gaze Sephiroth sported before, his attention has gained some more of it's intensity back as he notices her bandages; he remembers something about those...just about.]

I didn't see you, when we got off that floor-

[She had been right behind him, or had she left before- everything was muddled.]

[All the way out of the room, and back up to the residential levels, Xion had been in a half sort of state of shock. Even though she'd been the one to pull the final plug, it just... there was a part of it that didn't feel real, as if she expected Riki to have one final trick, or there to be one final catch. But no, it was done. They'd fixed hers and the others mistake. They'd stopped Riki from whatever he wanted to do - and she had no doubt now in her mind that whatever it had been, it didn't spell anything good for the residents.

But still, it's only when the doors open up back to the hidden floor - and she sees those who are waiting or perhaps just too exhausted to head back up to their rooms - that another emotion starts truly taking over.

And it's that emotion that causes her to practically jump out of the elevator and seek out familiar faces on the floor. And - if they let her - to tackle them in a delighted hug.

She'll probably drop not too long after this, she's exhausted; but for now, enthusiasm has taken over.]

[Xion bounds out of the elevator first and Link not only lets go of a sigh of relief, but he -- blinks in surprise. She's so -- energetic? She's so happy.

That means it went well. That's the only thing it can mean.

He sticks a hand in the air and calls to her.] Xion!

[It's over. It's finally over.

Even now, the reality of the situation hasn't completely sank in yet. Riku feels a strange, tingling sensation-- remnants of his now waning adrenaline. After all, they were treading on thin ice down there between the spikes, the tentacles, the darkness, and the monsters... Things could have fallen to pieces in a heartbeat, yet here they are. Largely unscathed. Victorious. Alive.

When Riku makes his way to the secret floor, he looks a bit apprehensive at first. He moves slowly, looking around, trying to spot the others from the infiltration. Yet at the same time, he's not quite sure what to say or how to approach them.

Eventually, he ops to just... clear his throat. Speak up amidst the crowd of people-- both infiltrators and otherwise.]

I can't believe we did it. Seems like just yesterday we were stuck at the admins' mercy, but now... Now we might actually have a chance.

[He snorts, the tiniest hint of a smile starting to form.]

How's that for learned helplessness? Bet if Jason saw us now, he'd be squirming in his grave.

[But is it really over? Riku can't say for sure, but for now, he's willing to bask in the light of their victory.]

Sauna trip!

[Kachessa is just wanting to relax in any way possible. To not think for awhile. Which is why she'd decided on a trip to the sauna. A nice place to just soak up the steam for awhile and not, well, worry about much for a bit. She'd gone to the unisex one, not really caring anymore (it's not like they have real bodies anyway).]

[And here you will find Disciple, relaxing after worrying and hearing about all the infiltration that went on. She hopes they were alright, and wanted to make sure they were fully healed.

Speaking of, she noticed a pretty woman getting ready to take a dip, and decides to move out of her way.]

[The long elevator ride back up after an assault on the administrative levels is something she's rather familiar with, and as always, the adrenaline she had been running on throughout the mission dies off during that time, leaving her exhausted both mentally and physically by the time the team returns to the hidden floor.

But they had succeeded. And with that fact there is a sense of contentment as she slowly wanders her way over to the nearest open chair. She flops back into it rather ungracefully (and her clothing tells a story - burns and bloodstains from where she wasn't quite able to dodge an electrical whip or a mechanical tentacle in time, though aside from a cut across her shoulder caused by a bit of shrapnel hitting her in the end, her wounds have been healed), allowing herself a moment to just lean her head back, close her eyes, and breathe.

Zo's machine is theirs. Surely that has to count for something.]

[Having already been woken up from collapsing after the business with the chips, Waver approached looking genuinely concerned.]

This may be an inappropriate time to ask for a report on what's happened, but if you have the energy for one I would be grateful.

Hidden Floor

[Sephiroth had held out on the 44th Floor stairwell where he'd conversed with Chidori; well 'conversed' as far as he was able to on account of his rapidly deteriorating condition, and had done so, floating in and out of maybe-sleep or not until he'd seen the EMP be successful there. The hallucinations were getting more frequent, more dramatic by that point.

Then without a word to anyone Sephiroth had stood, and forced himself to an elevator and then back up to the top of their levels. He could feel the great groaning inside of himself as the last of his energy levels were draining away, too easily his thoughts, projected into the hallucinations he was caught in, drawn to the circle of phantoms he remembered from a similar death. That one that reached for his face and had for just a moment seemed too familiar-

Sephiroth had finally crashed a while ago at his nominated table of notes that he'd studied tirelessly to try to logic his way out of the predicament, his eyes had drooped heavier than ever. Death was close for sure; fleetingly he wonders if it might be for real this time.

One arm stretched out in front over the roughly-organized bits of paper, atop the larger sketch of a map, he'd put his head on his bent elbow-

And slept. Without a care who might come across him there, a dreamless rest that not even the activity of the workers around would rouse him at all from. Much less if a wandering resident might look on him and wonder what he, the one who has the least trust in Aria's revolution, was even doing there.

It's around half a day later, though he wouldn't be able to tell, that Sephiroth stirs; squints of eyelids peer around first before eyes force themselves open fully. He's not at all rested as much as he needs to be, not being in his own Dormitory pod; but he's not dead, and there seems to be something of a weight lifted-]

Ugh. [It's a single syllable as the crick to his neck registers from being rested like that on the table for so long, as Sephiroth both sits up and runs a hand up between the lapels of his coat to squeeze at that particular tight tendon. His shoulders ache a little as well from the armor he'd not had the energy to remove, but that is to be expected. Peering around for anyone nearby.]

What happened?

[Veronica had eventually come up to the hidden room, looking in every place she could think of for a weapon of some sort. Now that the monsters had left, it had left her with a severely shortened supply.

She didn't even notice Sephiroth at first. All her focus was on the rest of the room, on notes and maps and other things she could scan briefly before moving on. Of course, she does notice him as he wakes up and asks a question.]

We secured the room. Riki is against us now.

[Tobias, for his part, has no physical injuries, but he's completely exhausted. Morphing takes a lot of energy, and getting through the aftermath of fight or flight instinct is always exhausting.]

[As soon as the group manages to make it back to the hidden floor, Tobias glides over to a chair, perching on the back of it. His eyes are open and he's watching others for the moment, but he's liable to fall asleep at any moment.]

*Enoch himself has settled on a cushion left over from some event or another, watching Naoya's unconscious form for any signs he's still a puppet of Riki's. Speaking of which, he sees the person responsible for getting them out of there sitting on that chair, and he looks awake.*

If not for you, we would have been Riki's playthings. You did well.

[With the adrenaline wearing off, the redheaded turk felt more dead than alive, and he looked it. The mission might have been a success, but his face is pretty grim when he makes his way back into the hidden floor and collapses against the wall. His clothes are a bit more worn (burned?) than usual and he's favoring both arms, settling them into his lap and pulling his knees up so he can hunch over a bit.

He might fall asleep like that.]

[With his blue-haired brother accounted for, Diarmuid has been looking even harder for the red-headed one, which means, of course, he misses finding Reno by some stroke of bad luck until the man has circled up. Of course, it's obvious he's not doing well, which is why Diarmuid stops by the table to grab food and some warm tea before he continues to where Reno is sitting.]

Here, will this help any? I hear no one died down there, but you aren't looking so good. Do you happen to have any medical supplies stashed up here?

[Edgeworth was going to make his way to the hidden floor to ask people who had infiltrated for more information on what had happened.

Except when he was halfway between Floors 100 and 101, his legs gave way to exhaustion and he fell on his hands and knees.

His dog, Pess, walks towards him, gives him a nudge with her nose and whines with worry. Edgeworth turns to her and gives her a slight and sad smile.]

I'm sorry......I'll be all right in a few moments.

[David happens to be heading down to go visit the VR Memory room at Floor 100, floating through the air by support of his suit's flight system as he always does.]

Oh, 'scuse me—

[He floats off of the staircase and continues coming down when he notices someone's already occupying it. As he continues floating down, though, he sees that Edgeworth doesn't look so good. Certainly explains what he thought he'd overheard as he was coming down from Floor 101.]

—whoa! You need some help?

[Well, they had done it. Because everyone worked together they were able to take Riki's room and his terminals for their own. While Veronica hadn't been able to do much more than fight off some enemies, and get one of her swords melted, she still felt accomplished that they managed to strike such a blow against the remaining admins.

Even if the danger had subsided for the moment, Veronica had to keep going. She spent her time looking for another sword on the different levels of the tower. Every person she saw that infiltrated with her would get a smile and a nod; her way of being appreciative.]

[The debilitating exhaustion was gone, but the silence of the Tower remained. Archer frowns as he walks the floors now, convinced that the monsters were gone in their entirety -- and leaving him to find any other restless forms of entertainment.

But this was to be expected, wasn't it? As the countdown came closer and closer to its end, so did the Tower and any activity within it.

Though he spends some time in the hidden floor, he spends more of it on the various lounge floors, staring outside.]

[With a bag in hand, Grainne wanders out into the lounge looking for a work space. The lab isn't an option really, but the lounges seemed perfect. That is, until she notices him.

And almost turns around, but something stops her.]

Are you enjoying the darkness outside? From what Lady Hilda told me, that may be the true state of this world.

[She'll probably be sorry for this later, especially after their last encounter...]

[Gamzee has been remarkably silent throughout the whole ordeal - fighting where he needed to, sleeping where he needed to, being in an exhausted heap where he needed to. Was he brought back for a reason? What could his purpose have possibly been, other than to lend a hand in the downfall of the place that had caused him misery for the past sweep? When would it fucking end!?]

[He sat, ironically, in the pews of the cathedral, the deafening pressure of the atmosphere posing as makeshift pacification in place of the sopor supply he'd had readily available to him. Upon waking in this place again, none of his belongings had remained from the time before, save for the meager contents of his trunk. Without drugs, this last hurrah would be quite the doozy.]

[He wasn't sure if he was praying, or if he was thinking at all. The quietness in the cathedral didn't serve to soften the shouting and ringing between his ears, as he'd hoped it would. His head was bowed, but it was only while he tried to get one coherent thought to run through his head. It was a difficult procedure.]

[For the past few weeks, Richtofen's head had been filled with a cacophony of noise, from the whispers and the screams of the voices to the ever-growing panic gnawing at him from the inside out. The countdown on the network terminals grew shorter every day, seconds mocking him as they went by, ticks and tocks bouncing around like laughter in his head. He often sat by the terminals, watching the numbers change until it felt like they were filling up his body and gnawing on his bones.

He couldn't remember the last time he'd slept. The exhaustion of the past few weeks hardly made him bat an eye, even when he felt as if he'd keel over at any moment. There was too much to think about. Too much noise for him to get any rest. Often he'd wake up slumped over somewhere, clutching his Thundergun to his chest, unsure of how he'd gotten there, listening to the voices scream at him so loudly he was sure, sure, positively sure they had leapt out of his head to start bouncing off the walls.

The idea to head to the cathedral hit him out of nowhere. He'd only been there a scarce few times, but he could remember the throbbing, tangible silence of that floor, where even the ever-present whispers had a soothing quality about them. Perhaps being on that floor would help.

He walked there in a daze. His once-keen reflexes had taken a turn for the worst; he blinked unevenly, his hands shook where he gripped his weapon, and he'd often turn his head sharply to look at a noise he was sure he'd heard, only to be met with the increasingly monstrous nothingness there. Except, when he turned to look around the cathedral, he really did find somebody. His eye-searing horns were impossible to miss, after all.]

I hate you, please die. [His words were drowned out by the chaos in his head and the effect of the floor, but it hardly mattered. He hadn't even meant to speak. The words spilled out anyway, rushed and stumbling, punctuated by shivering laughter.] Die! I would love for you to die immediately. Haha! Stupid boy.

[Anyone used to dealing with Richtofen's normal brand of insanity will have noticed a change the past few weeks. Even at his worst moments, he's been able to hold himself together enough to give off an air of superiority, but lately that's not been the case. Most of his time had been spent wandering around, looking for monsters that had long since vanished, speaking nonsense to himself all the while. He would hardly react to anyone attempting to speak to him, and he'd often shout a flurry of insults at whoever was nearby, but with a far-off look in his eyes that suggested he wasn't all that aware of what he was doing.

At some point, it seems he's become aware that the infiltration team has made it back up. In his mind, his ever-present voices hiss at him, demanding information, giving him questions to ask, directing him toward people who seem like they might know for whatever arbitrary reason (the way they walk, the look in their eyes, the way they smile and laugh when Richtofen's back is turned and he knows it happens because the voices tell him when it does and they know better than he does they really really really do--).

So it's with that in mind that Richtofen will be stumbling around the Tower, lurching at people and attempting to grab them by the arm. There's a smile on his face, and a manic look in his dull blue-gray eyes.]

You! You know. You know what's happened, don't you? Don't-- Do not lie to the doctor! Ha! Was there blood? Was there?

[On his way to the bathrooms via Floor 101, Reno is just glaring at the crazy doctor with barely held contempt, keeping his arms close to his chest.]

The fuck are you on? Ya don't look right.

Arturia, for once, is weary. Weary and staggering, but smiling and taking a lot of pride in her companions. Once she made sure everyone has made it back safely, she'll allow herself to collapse in a corner of the hidden floor. It's not dignified, no, but she finds it comfortable to sit with her back to the wall and her legs stretched out before her, simply watching everyone celebrate.

The countdown is still winding down, but for the first time it feels to her like they might be able to survive beyond it. If they can make it past the countdown, then perhaps they really will manage to make things right in one way or another.

He recognises her face as she enters the floor; he's met her before in passing, and besides that, he can feel the connection to her that the glamour has given him.

Though he's drawn to that connection, he gives her some space while he checks on others that have come back from the infiltration. It's a little while before England finds it appropriate to address her, approaching her with quiet footsteps. He kneels on one knee before the spot where she sits and tries to conquer an awkward fidget in his fingers as he speaks. It's obvious from the state of her that she, too, has just returned from the mission.

"...is there anything I can do for you?" he ventures in his politest tone, hoping he doesn't sound too presumptuous.

Hidden Floor

[As soon as David emerges from the elevator the Infiltration Team used to reach the Machine Room, he makes a show of throwing the Orcish sword down on Reno's table of notes—but not actually on the notes—and pumping his fists into the air.]

Yeah! Riki's gonna wish he didn't try an' screw us over again!

[For a guy who soaked up a lot of electric shocks, took some glancing blows from the moving wall, and a few lashes from the electric whips, he sure seems chipper. The wonders of an autodoc system built into the suit! This, however, does cause David to remember that a lot of people took a worse beating than he did, even with others working their healing powers. So, David pulls out his Medical Device and holds it up to the crowd.]

Anybody still dinged up? Dis thing might help.

Floor 100 (VR Memory Floor)

[Later, David returns to this room again to wind down. The floor takes the same appearance as it did the first time he arrived here—a night time rooftop in downtown Paragon City, overlooking Atlas Park, with all the related vistas.]

[Soon, this cityscape and all the other myriad universes won't be a distant memory anymore. Soon. Somehow, they'll set right this immeasurable wrong.]

[Anyone's free to run into him or come down to bug him in person.]

Floor 100

[It was likely that Veronica shared the same idea as David, going up to this floor to give the illusion one last look. She didn't see a cityscape of course. Instead, it was a large, stone estate, sitting in the middle of a forest.

Her home, obviously, and it hurt seeing it without it actually being there. But she'd see it again, right?]

It's not real. [She said mostly to herself. Reminding herself of the illusion made it hurt a little less.]

[Naoya wakes up eventually, with a splitting headache brought on both by physical trauma and his memories and nightmares. He's got a few bruises, but they don't really matter. As soon as he's able, he gets up and walks around the hidden floor, trying to find people who were down in the lower levels with him.]

What happened?

You sprouted polka dotted antennae and tried to hump the terminals.

[Reno's expression is deadpan for a moment, before a faint smile appears. Hey, they've got to joke sometime, huh?]

Eh, not much. Just had to go through holographic giggle monsters, bright light, and the wall comin' out and trying to whip us while we unplugged the computers, after the robots and the mist. You got pretty banged up there for a while.

[He shrugs.]

Otherwise, mission accomplished.

[Asagi hasn't done much since everyone went downstairs- but now that they're coming back up and she's got some of her energy back, she figures she can at least join Diarmuid in giving people something worth coming back to-- that is to say, something to eat that isn't nutrition bars. The monsters may all be gone, but she figures the fish aren't, and soon enough she's setting out plates of them- baked or fried- for anyone who wants some.

She might be convinced to go spear some more if it all disappears, but for now, she'll just kick back in a chair near the food with a towel over her head and doze a bit.

Sorry about the puddle that may or may not be forming cause of her hair.]

*Enoch noticed her setting plates out, and he's quick to take some baked fish for himself. Fruit is fine, but he really should figure out how to catch fish in the aquarium without knowing how to swim.

But he notices how tired everyone seems to look. Everyone. What had happened up here?*

[As soon as she'd started feeling better, Chidori had kicked Hecate into gear to get herself feeling back to normal as quickly as possible. It took a couple of short naps, but by the time everyone began coming back, she at least feels up for healing someone other than herself.

So she'll be heading around to as many of the returning people as she can, looking them over carefully before asking in a surprisingly unassuming manner-]

Are you still hurt at all?

[He's not one of the returning people, and he knows that Chidori can sense him from a mile away, but Ken creeps up behind her and gives her a hug, lifting her a bit before setting her down gently.]

[Don't mind him grinning like an idiot.]

[ Hilda didn't know much about the situation. She had been unable to help with destroying the chips, and hadn't taken part in the downstairs mission. But they were all still alive and apparently those who had gone had come back satisfied, if only exhausted from the mission.

It was about all she knew, but this was already a good sign. If they had managed to undo whatever plot the administrator had been working at, surely they had a chance to come out of this alive and revive their homeworlds and save the phantoms, right? Or else she wasn't sure what the point of this all was.

Either way, Hilda would be lurking around the secret floor, trying to listen in on discussion-- It was the best way to get information around here, and look for any familiar face. ]

[England has kept such a keen eye out for Zelda while waiting for the team to come back that her appearance throws him off; at first glance, she's almost identical to his Zelda. When England takes a closer look, though, he can see that her face is just slightly different, in the same way that Tetra's is. But the resemblance in structure is undeniable, the colour of her hair and eyes aside.

He wonders if she's perhaps a relative of Zelda's, though he wonders that while staring for a bit longer than is polite. Eventually, when her lurking puts her at a respectable distance from him, he clears his throat and attempts to address her.] Er— pardon me, ma'am?

[At the moment Mitch had set out a diagram, a web of information if you will, in the infirmary. Each line having been drawn out by one of his pens and leading to one notebook clipping to the next. On a nearby bed sat that said notebook, opened and with information on the various residents of the Tower from both the past and the present. One is free to look at the moment, he does not mind.
