Ad Visitatores
Characters: anyone participating in the event
Setting: floor 56 and eventually other areas of the Tower
Format: either
Summary: Welcome to the Tower.
Warnings: horror/creepiness/potential danger/generally unfortunate things all possible
Notes: PLEASE GO HERE TO MAKE NEW POSTS.
A few minutes before anything happens, Ruana's voice rings out over the Tower's intercom--it manages to be louder than anything the residents happen to be doing. "Hey, everyone, there's something exciting going on at floor fifty-six! Go make sure they don't get themselves killed!"
You arrive, stepping or tumbling, in a surgical suite. It looks abandoned, with dust collecting on the table and floors. The lights flicker, and for a moment blood dripping off the table, puddling on the floor--but no, the lights are back, and surely that was your imagination. It's quiet, eerily so, but nothing hinders you, and you're free to spread out and explore. There are multiple rooms here, like in any hospital, and it's all a bit confusing. Occasionally the lights flicker, and it's a bit frightening as Things appear that shouldn't exist. Shadowy creatures stitched together and reaching for you, doctors brandishing phantom surgical tools, blood splattering the walls or floor or ceiling, how did it get there--but none are real, and all of them vanish when the lights return. Eventually you find the staircase, spiraling up and down into darkness. Approach it, though, and the thing glitters with a barrier that will push back any attempts at climbing the thing.
A girl, a teenager dressed in red and black, appears. And she does simply appear, inserting herself into the space, nearly pushing it aside to make room in it for where she is now. Her face beams with unconcealed excitement, and her words tumble out on top of themselves. "You can't go there! Yet, I mean. You'd all die!"
The girl steps onto the staircase, passing through the barrier as if it weren't there, and sits on the steps to address everyone. "Hi! I'm Ruana. You didn't show up the normal way, so the Tower can't support you yet. We got this one floor ready when I saw you were coming but, well, the Tower's kind've big, so getting all of them set up is taking a little longer than I thought." She smiles, sheepishly apologetic in a carefree sort of way. "I've got everyone coming here to visit you--or at least they know they can visit you--and I'll have someone bring food up for you. It'll be oatmeal, and oatmeal is super boring, but you have to eat it, okay? Then you can have whatever you want! The cafeteria's down on the first floor if you get hungry. We should have everything ready in a few hours. I've gotta go help with that, so you guys wait here.
"Don't worry, the monsters can't get to this floor as long as that barrier is up."
And then she's gone, blinking out of existence. The barrier will remain for three hours.

Floor Fifty-Six [DURING QUARANTINE]
A WILD A_FACILITY TO STRINGS TRANSPLANT APPEARS
Naminé? You there?
[She had utterly no idea what was happening right now, but Facility used to pull this sort of thing all the time. So she keeps a cool head and a steady eye, observing the floor around them. The girl wasn't exactly specific on what was going on, but there was plenty of time for that later.
But who in the world was coming to visit them...?]

Another Dark Pit! This isn't going to be confusing. XD
And he almost did shoot when that creepy girl appeared.
Somehow he managed to keep his hand, but mention of monsters and having to eat oatmeal and...
He never thought he'd even think it, but he much rather Palutena's cooking over whatever she was going to give them.

Tch...
[Dithering around wasn't going to do any good. The vision had told her to find "Him", so she would. That was her mission. It was comforting to have a mission. She drew her photon saber and strode from the grotty little operating room, eager to explore but very much on her guard.]
...is anyone here?
[If that drew in someone friendly, then fine. If it drew in something hostile... well. She had her photon saber out for a reason.]

[Atsuro tumbles to the ground with a groan - he's slightly surprised to discover, as he stands, that his messenger bag is hanging by his waist and that protruding noticeably from a pocket is his trusty COMP. He would feel thankful to Philemon if, you know, the guy hadn't just teleported him across space and time to some place that looked like a scene from a bad J-horror movie.
He isn't alone, of course... He glances around at the others standing in the room as the girl enters and makes her announcements - some, he notes, look slightly less surprised than the rest.]
We'll all die if we leave, the creepy girl insists on us eating oatmeal, and we're in a big Tower with monsters. Is that about the gist of it?
This is a great start...
[Philemon's words continue to echo in his mind... Something specific he had said. Atsuro will glance around for those he is more familiar with.]
Hey - is anyone else here who was on that mission yesterday?

Awakening in a hospital, flickers of shadow in the darkness, a disturbing teenager and a barrier keeping them trapped to one floor was enough to ping Yamato's caution (oh he would have to be an idiot not to be concerned), but he appeared to be a picture of pure calm as he stood in the middle of a room, beside a dusty table, with his eyes firmly shut.
The visions when the lights flickered off would just get annoying otherwise]

Rune Calstead
...
Okay, she's terrified that there are things appearing when the lights go out and blood and... Rune couldn't help but scream more than a few times, fumbling for someone, anyone that she could cling to right now. Because oh dear god!
She let out a loud whine at a particularly frightening black out, literally jumping onto whoever was close by.
"I want to go back to Hinoto-Ri now!"

It wasn't the whole being snatched up into a whole other dimension. It wasn't the creepy décor. It wasn't the creepy girl. It wasn't even the impending torture of oatmeal!
It was his cape.
Philemon had sent him here without it!
The bastard!!
So Kazuya was oh so maturely sulking in the corner, arms crossed and letting out loud, heaving, irritating sighs]
I am so. Unhappy. Right now. How can I go about a haunted hospital without the whole look...

Ferrus Ferric the wonderful WH40K OC...
These were all important, sure, but he chose to approach them by looking around and examining the floor. He's unfazed by the shadowy scares after the first one - or at least, he appears to be.
It's scary, sure, but ehh. It's not hurting him, and he needs to be aware for the things that might.

totally not secretly a lovecraftian horror in guise of a unassuming kid of an OC here nope
[WHAT.]
[What, there's....there's a girl talking to him, and something about monsters and oatmeal and barriers... Sam Erstwhile whimpers, clutching his shaggy head as he tries to figure out what just happened. He was in Hinoto-Ri, and then suddenly...here.]
W-what's going on?!
[He isn't really scared, no...but anyone happening upon him would think quite different, what with his pale face and deathly frightened expression. Well, isn't being scared the best way to get on someone's good side? People tend to comfort others when they're scared, after all...]
[So he walks around, shuddering as he cries out in vivid fear, as his mind unemotionally and deftly tries to piece together what is happening.]
Where is this?! Oh god, oh god, oh god...!

Natsuki Kuga: Not happy
"DURAN..."
Natsuki spend most of Ruana's speech still somewhat dazed at what was going on. But that same dude, appearing in he dreams again and then teleporting her to a place that brought up way too many memories she'd rather keep hidden was too much. She was going to blast her way out of here and find someone to answer for this.
With a howl her silver robot wolf appears, bathed in ice. Within moments Natsuki finishes her command.
"LOAD CHROME CARTRIDGE, FIRE!"
From the wolves two cannons a burst of flam appears follows by an explosion that accomplishes little more than filling the immediate area with smoke, leaving the barrier completely intact and unharmed. Natsuki begins to cough on the resultant smoke, somewhat regretting her rash actions.

The Archangel Gabriel Mood: Slightly intrigued
Really, he wasn't feeling this place. At least in Hinoto-ri he could kick back, man his candy store and do pretty much anything that sounded fun...here not so much.
At least not till he got the lay of the land. So, for now, he was vaguely pacing, lounging on what he could, and playing with a small rubber ball he'd made for entertainment.]

Nagisa Motomiya / AKB0048 / ANIMUS PLAYER APPS STRINGS AND THEN THIS EVENT HAPPENS? DO YOUR WORST.
Waking up from this one wasn't nearly as pleasant as waking up in the city had been, though. Nagisa woke with a start and a scream at the sight of blood dripping off a nearby table, a doctor looking at her with a scalpel looking for a place to stick it. Then the lights flickered, and that was gone.
Gone, and then it was quiet, but creepy. Nagisa's Kirara fluttered out, lighting on her shoulder for a moment, but then it was gone, as if making sure it wouldn't get hurt.
Then, the girl showed up, said all of that, and -- monsters?]

There's too many Striders here
[Dave glances around him. He already didn't like this floor. There's something about it that reminds him of the Condesce and it was just a rather unsettling floor in general. He keeps his hands in his pockets, keeping a relaxed stance though.]
This is some joy ride. And just a month ago I got tossed into a new world and now I'm in a huge fucking Tower. Great.
[He looked around idly to see who else was dragged in, hoping no familiar faces like his younger counterpart or Dirk was here too. Not with how this place made him a bit anxious.]

Re: Floor Fifty-Six [DURING QUARANTINE]
It was a Tower, yes but it was so far from Tartarus that the fact brought him no sense of familiarity and the wrongness of it was magnified so much he could barely stand it.
He could feel the suspension of Death here and it vaguely disgusted him.
Raising back to his feet, unphrased by the imagoes playing out of the corner of his eye (it's debatable they actually register to him, the bloody floors, the mismatched monsters, the flickering shadows) Pharos quietly observed his surrounding, searching for Minato or Minako or a recognizable face to approach.]]

The Tower [POST-QUARANTINE]
Floor 55, Floor 25, Floor 1
Arturia had been injured in the Anoli's attack on Hinoto-Ri and hadn't been slated to leave the hospital for another few days. True, she'd been incredibly lucky with how advanced the technology in Hinoto-Ri had been. If it wasn't for that, she would likely not have been able to walk or use her sword arm, much less be able to properly swing a blade. As for right now, it was still painful to move and it showed in the way her face was set and in how she had a slight limp when she walked. Even with the medical technology, she would have a few weeks yet to completely recover.
She'd checked in with everyone during the quarantine and took a head count. Then, realizing she had the bag of clothes her uncle had left her and found a place to change into jeans and a T-shirt instead of a hospital gown. She found a ribbon to tie her hair into the usual style, but could not find her gloves to cover her Command Spells.
Oh well. It would be like whenever anyone in Hinoto-Ri asked: they were a tattoo. Nothing more. It wasn't like anyone in this strange new world would even know what the Holy Grail War was.
As soon as the quarantine was lifted, Arturia made a break for the stairs. She had been confined to a bed all week save for the nursing assistants taking her for a walk twice a day to exercise her legs. The very last thing she'd wanted was to continue being cooped up. Her shinai in hand--for some reason her chainsword had not come with her--she headed down into the boiler room.
"Who puts a boiler room right below the infirmary?" she asked aloud. Shouldn't they be in the very bottom of the hospital?
[B: Floor 25; Meadow]
This tower they had found themselves in just got stranger and stranger the more she explored. There'd been the room of nothing but curtains, the toy store, the graveyard, and now.... a meadow.
That's it. Nothing more but a simple flower meadow. Arturia left the staircase to wander through it, looking down at the grass in her feet in confusion. She was starting to tire from having wandered down so many stairs and exploring the floors that looked safe. She itched to find out what Philemon had called them here for, but knew at this point nothing would help her.
It couldn't hurt to rest. Her leg and her side ached from where she'd been stabbed by Hitsuji. The doctor had said the nanomachines helping her injuries heal wouldn't be out of her system until Monday and it would leave her tired.
Well, she was alone for now. It couldn't hurt to at least sit here where it seemed perfectly safe. So Arturia found herself a comfortable looking patch in the middle of the meadow and flopped down amongst the flowers, her shinai still within easy reach.
Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad.
[C: Floor One; Cafeteria]
FOOD.
Arturia had spent the last week eating nothing but hospital food, something she considered more cardboard and mush than anything else. It was not fit to even be called food, much less to be eaten. That'd been why when they had been served oatmeal in quarantine she'd scarfed it down, unlike almost anyone else. It'd been the first real food she'd had and she was not about to let it go to waste.
Naturally, when Arturia found the cafeteria and that they were serving hamburgers, she was on it like any decent high school girl worth her miniskirt would be on chocolate in February.
However, her face turned slightly green when she bit into it. On the outside, it looked like a perfectly normal hamburger, but on the inside it was rare, dripping with juices, and a complete mess because someone had stuck candy hearts into it. There were few foods Arturia didn't like, but those chalky white pieces that dared to call themselves candy were one of them. She dropped the burger onto her plate, chugged down half her milkshake, then glared down at the foul concoction on her plate.
Not even Taiga when she 'experimented' with cooking had made something as vile as this thing. It was practically a travesty for such good food to go to waste.

Floor 4, Floor Fourteen, and Floor Thirteen, February 9th
Garviel stands in the stacks of the immense library, paging through one book after another, his boltgun held in one hand, a book seeming more like a little pamphlet in his mighty gauntlet, helmet removed so that he can read the book through direct interface with his eyes, not filtered by his helm. He is a giant with a quiet, quizzical expression on his face, craggy features crowned by blond to silver hair, the very figure of an angel of death even as he reads.
Floor Fourteen:
Garviel stares at the flickering televisions, and finds a single screen saying "Press start to begin your heroic quest." He picks up the odd control wand, and begins playing an JRPG, looking rather confused by the controls. He spends a lot of time dying, because he doesn't seem to understand some of the game mechanics well, and his huge fingers are fumbling with the controller.
"What sort of battle training is this?" He rumbles, watching the pixels dance on the screen with bemusement.
Floor Thirteen:
The gothic cathedral stops Loken cold, as the memories of that last, bloody day on Istvaan come flooding back. He stands towards the fore of the church, his dull grey armor bathed in the light from the stained-glass windows, fractured into many colors as the pain of loss comes flood back into him. His expression does not change, and he holds his bolter in one hand, his chainsword in the other, a figure framed in an incandescent riot of color, just taking it all in. His head bows slightly, as he remembers Torgaddon: The last person he could truly, without hesitation, call friend. Tarik, the ghost that haunts him even now.
Floor 13
But the sight of a Space Marine in the cathedral! Cain's heart jumped in joy. He suddenly didn't feel so threatened with such a capable person in his presence.
"Hail, Astartes."
