We're Gonna Party Rock Till The Day Comes Up!

Summary: The giant party is finally here! Mingle, Blind date and strange things ahoy!
Warnings: WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

Floor Thirty-Eight. Normally just a simple lounge, it was now Party Central.

It was clear Eikichi had put all of his heart into it. Say what you wanted about him, but he was a good manager and organizer. The place didn't look the same, with the flower bouquets strewing in odd corners, the bright pieces of tissues hung around like garlands. They had no balloons so they made with. A few banners hung into the air, the words crudely painted with Maya's name and wishing her a happy birthday. There was also a few others with the names of the birthdays Eikichi had managed to get.

At the entrance, there was a a few large baskets filled with corsages that Jun had prepared - acacias white (friendship and chaste love), yellow (secret love) and pink (friendship), white violets (Purity; Candor; Modesty; Innocence; Let's take a chance on happiness) and pink roses (Perfect happiness, please believe me; Friendship) expertly woven pieces of stems and grass meant it required no other materials than the flower themselves.

Of course, the meanings were not written. You just had a few to chose from. Then you could offer one to your date to wear on their hand...if you wished.

As Eikichi had said, no pressure.

...Except for coming, of course.

Those that were part of the blind dates had each been given a small piece of paper with a symbol.As they entered they could see a small sign instructing to try and find the other person with the same symbol. This would be their 'date' of the night.

On the farthest left to the entrance, they had dragged in a gigantic music system, with an area for a DJ to run (Tatsuya had helped with the wiring). Some large pieces of metals had been lined up to cover the floor, making a fake stage and on top of that, he had placed various instruments - along with those of his band, of course. The stage would be open for them to play later, regardless.

The main area reserved for food was a few tables that had been dragged in here, covered with whatever tissues they had found and filled with all the food they could take - some of it was typical stuff found in the cafeteria this week (but no gross stuff - Eikichi didn't want living maggots in his cheese today), the rest had been made by those nice enough to help with the cooking. There wasn't that much typical 'party food' as creating your own sweets and chips does take a while, but the jerky meats, the hot soups and the vegetables more than made up for it. The drinks were placed right besides it and who knew how many trips they had needed to set it all up.

There were also cakes on the next table, enough to feed at least everyone in the part a generous slice. Considering the ingredients and the people involved they ranged from the very simple to baked pies using the available fruits, and a single cake which appeared to have more work than the others. They did with what they had, and it was fantastic they had so much at all.

All the chairs and bags found in that room normally were tossed in a corner facing the central area so that people could sit down if they felt like it, but the central area was reserved to talk, mingle and dance once everything REALLY got underway.

It would soon too, once the crowds started to get bigger and bigger.

Miyabi's gone and dressed up for the party- Eikichi put so much effort into it, how could she not? Not to mention the work she'd done helping with the food as well. Besides, what was the point of going to a party if you weren't going to make an effort?

...the symbol she'd found taped to her door had been unexpected, but she recognized it easily enough. She wondered what in the world the meaning of it was, though. Oh well, no matter. Might as well have some fun.

Have fun indeed. For, you see, it was not a Cuss High student that greeted her holding the symbol, but a mysterious masked man (he knew that Visual Kei costume would be useful one day when he found it in his trunk). Yes, this was clearly no one Miyabi knew, especially the way he carried around herself, in a series of overly exaggerated poses, before finally kneeling close. He took her right arm and grinned, the edge of that smile visible thanks to how the mask was cut off.

"Ahh. My Angel of Music! It seems you have arrived."

Oh mysterious masked man (seriously, who could this be?!) how bold of you to take another person's girlfriend like your own! In fact, he took her right hand with a flourish, and tied the corsages that Jun had designed for him. The Amethyst, Juniper, and Stock flowers were woven together, unique in design and, of course, fit her arm perfectly.

"Well, now I feel a little under-dressed...!"

She smiled at his antics thought, face going slightly pink as he knelt to tie the flowers around he wrist. Her fingers slid over the petals of a flower slowly, and then she looked back at him, the edges of her smile the slightest bit teasing. Honestly, if Eikichi thought he was the only one who could go a little overboard with things, he was in for a surprise.

"And while the flowers are lovely, and I appreciate all the attention- I'm afraid I'm taken, my good masked stranger."

The grin that covered his face was almost demonic, and he let out a small laugh. In fact, it was almost as if he had hoped she had said exactly those words...

"Heh heh heh...is that all? Perhaps then he will have to rescue you from my clutches!" Without waiting for her reaction, he swiftly grabbed her, holding her by his two arms. "Struggling won't help. In fact, you might find it easier to intertwine your hands around my neck." So bold, mysterious masked man. If only you knew what the great, powerful, amazing Michel would do if he knew you were trying to make off with his girl like that!

"I shall bring you over to...the drinking table!" Man gosh, this sure was a super serious kidnapping right there.

"Oh goodness!" Miyabi chirped, still just-shy of laughing, one hand rising to press against her forehead dramatically. "I certainly hope Eikichi-kun comes to my rescue! How villainous, trying to take a lady from the man she loves!"

The declaration was followed by a squeak and her arms going around his neck automatically as he picked her up. As soon as she was sure she was secure, she mock-swooned, hand to her forehead once more.

"Ah, so far away! Such an arduous journey to be undertaken for my rescue!"
