Summary: The giant party is finally here! Mingle, Blind date and strange things ahoy!
Warnings: WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

Floor Thirty-Eight. Normally just a simple lounge, it was now Party Central.

It was clear Eikichi had put all of his heart into it. Say what you wanted about him, but he was a good manager and organizer. The place didn't look the same, with the flower bouquets strewing in odd corners, the bright pieces of tissues hung around like garlands. They had no balloons so they made with. A few banners hung into the air, the words crudely painted with Maya's name and wishing her a happy birthday. There was also a few others with the names of the birthdays Eikichi had managed to get.

At the entrance, there was a a few large baskets filled with corsages that Jun had prepared - acacias white (friendship and chaste love), yellow (secret love) and pink (friendship), white violets (Purity; Candor; Modesty; Innocence; Let's take a chance on happiness) and pink roses (Perfect happiness, please believe me; Friendship) expertly woven pieces of stems and grass meant it required no other materials than the flower themselves.

Of course, the meanings were not written. You just had a few to chose from. Then you could offer one to your date to wear on their hand...if you wished.

As Eikichi had said, no pressure.

...Except for coming, of course.

Those that were part of the blind dates had each been given a small piece of paper with a symbol.As they entered they could see a small sign instructing to try and find the other person with the same symbol. This would be their 'date' of the night.

On the farthest left to the entrance, they had dragged in a gigantic music system, with an area for a DJ to run (Tatsuya had helped with the wiring). Some large pieces of metals had been lined up to cover the floor, making a fake stage and on top of that, he had placed various instruments - along with those of his band, of course. The stage would be open for them to play later, regardless.

The main area reserved for food was a few tables that had been dragged in here, covered with whatever tissues they had found and filled with all the food they could take - some of it was typical stuff found in the cafeteria this week (but no gross stuff - Eikichi didn't want living maggots in his cheese today), the rest had been made by those nice enough to help with the cooking. There wasn't that much typical 'party food' as creating your own sweets and chips does take a while, but the jerky meats, the hot soups and the vegetables more than made up for it. The drinks were placed right besides it and who knew how many trips they had needed to set it all up.

There were also cakes on the next table, enough to feed at least everyone in the part a generous slice. Considering the ingredients and the people involved they ranged from the very simple to baked pies using the available fruits, and a single cake which appeared to have more work than the others. They did with what they had, and it was fantastic they had so much at all.

All the chairs and bags found in that room normally were tossed in a corner facing the central area so that people could sit down if they felt like it, but the central area was reserved to talk, mingle and dance once everything REALLY got underway.

It would soon too, once the crowds started to get bigger and bigger.

You can start a brand new thread when you are blind dating and mark them (EIKICHI AND MIYABI ), or if you want to do something like "JADE DJs A FEW SONGS FOR YOU" and people can reply to that. You can make multiple threads to a reply to, so if someone wants to talk to Eikichi, then someone else does later. Just make sure any closed threads are marked with [CLOSED] so other people know they can't pop in! Otherwise...it's free game.

So. Yeah. Lina's not too pleased about this whole blind date thing, and if she ever figures out who put her up to this, she's probably gonna light them on fire. Or punch them. Something painful.

She's not making any effort into looking around for whoever else has the umbrella paper - she's too busy partaking of the food, and her own paper is half-crumpled some distance from her plates. She still thinks this is a terrible idea, but there's food to be had. Maybe it's not all bad.

Worry not, there is at least one other person who's not pleased about this whole blind date thing. That's just silly. Ridiculous. Pathetic. He sighs. If it was not for Zelda's attempt to meddle with his business, he wouldn't be here in the first place. Well. Even though he doesn't want to look for who has the other piece of paper with an umbrella... He has to. If they're anything like him-

He doesn't approach anyone, but carefully listen to conversations around and look at the little pieces of paper people hold, looking for the umbrella... No luck so far. By the look of thing, either they didn't come, either they're not looking. When he spots the crippled piece of paper on the table, he stares at it, afraid to recognize he symbol on it.

He approaches the table, grabs the paper... ... Indeed, it is the good one. He quickly looks around to see who might happen to be the owner of this paper. Better be someone acceptable.

Once Ganon approaches and looks at the paper, Lina peers up at him. He's not immediately walking off - he could either be looking for the owner of the paper, or looking for someone else with a different paper. Geeze, he's tall, though.

"Down here, big guy, if you're looking for the person that belongs to," she pipes up, then leans on one arm. She looks mildly bored, but she is curious about this fellow. He stands out fairly well. ~~Plus, hey, fellow redhead.~~

Ganon looks down when he's called out... Well damn. She's small. Note, most everybody in the tower is small when compared to him. This one is just particularly small. Oh well, he was here, better stay and play the game. He chuckled and shook.

"I's Ganondorf." he replied and crossed his arms "And you are...?"

Thankfully he's not pointing out her lack of stature out loud, or this blind date would end before it began. (As would the party.)

It was a rare thing where she could introduce herself and actually enjoy it, so she took the chance to indulge her ego - "The beautiful sorcery genius, Lina Inverse!"

He's not pointing it out, but...- He can't help but let out a low chuckle when she mentions her title. 'Beautiful' in itself is largely debatable, but sorcery genius is quite laughable at best. Nevertheless, Ganondorf learnt not to judge a book by his cover, so he shall give her a chance.

"Sorcery Genius?" he repeats with a smile "Quite an impressive title. May I know what feats warrants its use?"

"Well, a great many things, too numerous to list them all - but where I'm from, I'm well-known for my considerable magical skill," she answers, all confidence and cockyness. And leaving out the other things she's known for - those aren't important, after all!

"I see..."

Two possibilities up to this point. Openly mock her and gain satisfaction from seeing her anger and walk away, or play nice and see what comes out of it, maybe an acquaintance or ally that could be useful in the future...

Second option.

"I am a wizard of sort myself, if your powers are that impressive I'd like to see a demonstration someday."

A wise choice, Ganondorf - as it keeps the party from having some unintended fireworks. Emphasis on the 'fire'.

"As long as it's not on part of this stupid place. Seems the people in charge get cranky over trying to use magic to get to places we're not supposed to be."

"The people in charge are fools. But as long as your spells aren't threatening them or the integrity of this tower, they will not do anything. I speak by experience."

The takeover is still a painful memory.

"Yeah, I know that one all too well myself," she adds. That's all she says of it, though - no sense in dwelling too much on past failures. "If there's ever an opportunity to get 'em with their guard down, though..." Her intentions go unsaid, but instead are symbolized by the rather violent way she bites into some jerky and tears a chunk from the main piece.
