Summary: The giant party is finally here! Mingle, Blind date and strange things ahoy!
Warnings: WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

Floor Thirty-Eight. Normally just a simple lounge, it was now Party Central.

It was clear Eikichi had put all of his heart into it. Say what you wanted about him, but he was a good manager and organizer. The place didn't look the same, with the flower bouquets strewing in odd corners, the bright pieces of tissues hung around like garlands. They had no balloons so they made with. A few banners hung into the air, the words crudely painted with Maya's name and wishing her a happy birthday. There was also a few others with the names of the birthdays Eikichi had managed to get.

At the entrance, there was a a few large baskets filled with corsages that Jun had prepared - acacias white (friendship and chaste love), yellow (secret love) and pink (friendship), white violets (Purity; Candor; Modesty; Innocence; Let's take a chance on happiness) and pink roses (Perfect happiness, please believe me; Friendship) expertly woven pieces of stems and grass meant it required no other materials than the flower themselves.

Of course, the meanings were not written. You just had a few to chose from. Then you could offer one to your date to wear on their hand...if you wished.

As Eikichi had said, no pressure.

...Except for coming, of course.

Those that were part of the blind dates had each been given a small piece of paper with a symbol.As they entered they could see a small sign instructing to try and find the other person with the same symbol. This would be their 'date' of the night.

On the farthest left to the entrance, they had dragged in a gigantic music system, with an area for a DJ to run (Tatsuya had helped with the wiring). Some large pieces of metals had been lined up to cover the floor, making a fake stage and on top of that, he had placed various instruments - along with those of his band, of course. The stage would be open for them to play later, regardless.

The main area reserved for food was a few tables that had been dragged in here, covered with whatever tissues they had found and filled with all the food they could take - some of it was typical stuff found in the cafeteria this week (but no gross stuff - Eikichi didn't want living maggots in his cheese today), the rest had been made by those nice enough to help with the cooking. There wasn't that much typical 'party food' as creating your own sweets and chips does take a while, but the jerky meats, the hot soups and the vegetables more than made up for it. The drinks were placed right besides it and who knew how many trips they had needed to set it all up.

There were also cakes on the next table, enough to feed at least everyone in the part a generous slice. Considering the ingredients and the people involved they ranged from the very simple to baked pies using the available fruits, and a single cake which appeared to have more work than the others. They did with what they had, and it was fantastic they had so much at all.

All the chairs and bags found in that room normally were tossed in a corner facing the central area so that people could sit down if they felt like it, but the central area was reserved to talk, mingle and dance once everything REALLY got underway.

It would soon too, once the crowds started to get bigger and bigger.

[Holy fuck was there commotion going on over here! Fancy humans were wiggling and making noises that Gamzee was pretty sure wasn't part of any language he'd ever heard before. Maybe it was another human language. ...Probably not. That was cool, though, because he sure as hell knew that he made some pretty unintelligible noises sometimes. You all just gotta let up whatever sounds be wanting to come out of your chute sometimes. He knew how it went.]

[But besides that, they looked like they were having fun, and fun always needed company to make it even more fun! Not to mention all the flailing and faltering speech had gotten him as curious as he always was, nosing around in everyone's business like an irritating purrbeast. The closer he came to the couple, the more he started to recognize the male human. ...Yeah! This was the yelly motherfucker he'd met a couple of times! Oh, boy, it was good to see him again! They'd have to catch up and party and he'd have to introduce him to his little blue-haired friend - that is the second human he's seen with blue hair, it kind of made him jealous, even though he'd just dyed his own mass of terror a bright neon pink not too long ago, he'd been stuck with plain black hair like the rest of his race for his entire life.]

[Wow, he was getting sidetracked! Fucking weird how that shit all works, you'll be thinking on one thing one second, and then you'll drift off into wonderland for a few beats and the suddenly you're all up in these motherfuckers' business, staring down at the sign of his best bro on Kanji's paper right before it gets shoved in a pocket.]

Kanji could only let out a small shriek (it was a miracle the corsage didn't just go of flying from his arm, but the flowers on it definitely got damaged) and looked at Gamzee in a half fearful "oh shit why" half 'I WILL KILL YOU' face. ]

Naoto raises an eyebrow at the troll, noting the rather horrified expression gracing Kanji's face.

I see you two are, ah... acquainted, then? [And she's assuming it's not in a good way.]

[What the hell, man! Of course it was in a good way! They'd hit it off awesomely all of those times before! Even the times where he excitedly waved to Kanji, only to have the kid do a rapid about-face - he'd probably realized something important he'd forgotten! That was okay, Gamzee would always tell himself that he'd catch the kid the next time he'd seen him. He knew how it felt to suddenly remember something and have to jet! Although by the time he was halfway to where he was supposed to go, he'd end up forgetting again.]

[Oh well! It looked like Kanji didn't have anywhere to suddenly go right now, so they'd have plenty of time to talk! Oh, look, the blue human was speaking to them, yeah!!! He could answer both of them at once. Sooooo succinct!]

Yeahhhhh, Blondie Yelly Dude be one of the first Tower bros I all ever was to be makin' motherfuckin' acquaintance with!

[Thereee goes that arm around Kanji's shoulder.]

Ain't gotten our kick on of the wicked motherfuckin' shit in what's seeming like for-fucking-ever, though! He's a busy motherfucker, you know?

[This was just a dream right?

Why wasn't this just a dream?! It was as if the gods of fate had given him a chance and now that chance was being blown up with HONKS and TROLL apocalypse served up fresh with a heavy dose of so much swearing his was certain his poor Ma's ears would fall off if she'd been two meters from the guy.

And now...he is unsure if he should introduce Naoto or not. She doesn't really deserve this punishment. He can take this alone. He really wants to punch the guy's face in with all the touching he's doing EXCUSE HIM he was on a dat--

[It's like a Yosuke who won't get off his back but for entirely different reasons. He can't even threaten to punch him like he does the other. Kanji looks at Naoto in a very, very apologetic way. He is so, so, so sooo sorry. You don't have to introduce yourself to him if you don't want to.]

[A tiny smile tugs at her lips, and ducks her head down to hide her face. Kanji was so distressed right now, it just seemed cruel to let him see how funny she thought this was.

She takes a second to compose herself and lifts her head once more, offering the troll her hand.]
