Summary: The giant party is finally here! Mingle, Blind date and strange things ahoy!
Warnings: WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

Floor Thirty-Eight. Normally just a simple lounge, it was now Party Central.

It was clear Eikichi had put all of his heart into it. Say what you wanted about him, but he was a good manager and organizer. The place didn't look the same, with the flower bouquets strewing in odd corners, the bright pieces of tissues hung around like garlands. They had no balloons so they made with. A few banners hung into the air, the words crudely painted with Maya's name and wishing her a happy birthday. There was also a few others with the names of the birthdays Eikichi had managed to get.

At the entrance, there was a a few large baskets filled with corsages that Jun had prepared - acacias white (friendship and chaste love), yellow (secret love) and pink (friendship), white violets (Purity; Candor; Modesty; Innocence; Let's take a chance on happiness) and pink roses (Perfect happiness, please believe me; Friendship) expertly woven pieces of stems and grass meant it required no other materials than the flower themselves.

Of course, the meanings were not written. You just had a few to chose from. Then you could offer one to your date to wear on their hand...if you wished.

As Eikichi had said, no pressure.

...Except for coming, of course.

Those that were part of the blind dates had each been given a small piece of paper with a symbol.As they entered they could see a small sign instructing to try and find the other person with the same symbol. This would be their 'date' of the night.

On the farthest left to the entrance, they had dragged in a gigantic music system, with an area for a DJ to run (Tatsuya had helped with the wiring). Some large pieces of metals had been lined up to cover the floor, making a fake stage and on top of that, he had placed various instruments - along with those of his band, of course. The stage would be open for them to play later, regardless.

The main area reserved for food was a few tables that had been dragged in here, covered with whatever tissues they had found and filled with all the food they could take - some of it was typical stuff found in the cafeteria this week (but no gross stuff - Eikichi didn't want living maggots in his cheese today), the rest had been made by those nice enough to help with the cooking. There wasn't that much typical 'party food' as creating your own sweets and chips does take a while, but the jerky meats, the hot soups and the vegetables more than made up for it. The drinks were placed right besides it and who knew how many trips they had needed to set it all up.

There were also cakes on the next table, enough to feed at least everyone in the part a generous slice. Considering the ingredients and the people involved they ranged from the very simple to baked pies using the available fruits, and a single cake which appeared to have more work than the others. They did with what they had, and it was fantastic they had so much at all.

All the chairs and bags found in that room normally were tossed in a corner facing the central area so that people could sit down if they felt like it, but the central area was reserved to talk, mingle and dance once everything REALLY got underway.

It would soon too, once the crowds started to get bigger and bigger.

Dancing's pretty rad too, especially if you can pull off some sweet moves. DDR's a step in the nice direction.

Secondly re: the annoying part, they're also stubborn as hell and would insist on occupying all of your time because they will never be happy until you're miserable.

The ability to communicate is vital to survival, unless you're a giraffe that can't use vocal communication due to the shortened laryngeal nerve that once suggested the mammal had a shorter neck. I feel at this point that I spoke out of relevance.

To alter any creature against the design is inhumane. I am not speaking up against spay and neutering. That does become essential considering the lack of self control or they would starve themselves out of existence.

But, why? Is it not evolution that has allowed us to be omnivorous? Without meat, we lose vital nutrients, and we become sick. Without fur, we freeze to death. Without population control through hunting, our crops would never grow. It's all part of the ecosystem. Why are they interfering with nature?

We got farms and shit now to handle livestock, and better synthetic bullcrap instead of fur I guess. They say that eating animals is cruel and against nature for some reason? So they don't eat meat and they get protein from tofu. It's unnatural, to be honest.

I agree. Although I understand why the synthetics are necessary, I do not understand their reasons that eating an animal is cruel. Not everyone will agree to be a vegan.

I agree with the passive-aggressive approach to do the opposite of what they want. What I don't agree with is the blood. Where do they get it if they are against the cruelty of animals? Did they kill a human?

I wouldn't be surprised, but that'd probably be illegal. They're batshit crazy, but not criminals. Unless they're secretly running some kind of underground animal drug ring, but that's just speculation.

It's not actual blood they're throwing I don't think; I think they conjure up some kind of fakey red liquid bullshit to imitate it. Which brings up all sorts of weirder thoughts.

He really didn't understand what it meant to be a kid until now and even then it was more like bits and pieces than actual hobbies. Sure he liked DDR, but he never really counted that much. Maybe he could finally do something with it than just talk about it.

[Elian lived with structure and not enough freedom. To say that his life was balanced was evident on the outside. His father was too young to know how to properly care for him, his eldest sibling died in front of him, his two younger siblings are borderline insane.

Listening to Jade really opened his eyes to what life as a kid was supposed to be, or rather a better example of how a teen was supposed to be like. He didn't rebel. Maybe it's about time he did.]

On one hand, there were those that were brought up to live their lives they way they saw fit and on the other were those that lived under strict guidelines and rules. Which one was the worst offender in creating rebels? Which one made the better citizen? He pondered those questions since the beginning.]

I'm always a total idiot about stuff, but I'm not really a fan of rules either. Just feel like people are trying to tell ya what to do, y'know? Better to learn by experience, isn't it?
