Format: Whatever you feel comfortable with. Prose, action, it's all good.
Summary: The giant party is finally here! Mingle, Blind date and strange things ahoy!
Warnings: WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN.

Floor Thirty-Eight. Normally just a simple lounge, it was now Party Central.

It was clear Eikichi had put all of his heart into it. Say what you wanted about him, but he was a good manager and organizer. The place didn't look the same, with the flower bouquets strewing in odd corners, the bright pieces of tissues hung around like garlands. They had no balloons so they made with. A few banners hung into the air, the words crudely painted with Maya's name and wishing her a happy birthday. There was also a few others with the names of the birthdays Eikichi had managed to get.

At the entrance, there was a a few large baskets filled with corsages that Jun had prepared - acacias white (friendship and chaste love), yellow (secret love) and pink (friendship), white violets (Purity; Candor; Modesty; Innocence; Let's take a chance on happiness) and pink roses (Perfect happiness, please believe me; Friendship) expertly woven pieces of stems and grass meant it required no other materials than the flower themselves.

Of course, the meanings were not written. You just had a few to chose from. Then you could offer one to your date to wear on their hand...if you wished.

As Eikichi had said, no pressure.

...Except for coming, of course.

Those that were part of the blind dates had each been given a small piece of paper with a symbol.As they entered they could see a small sign instructing to try and find the other person with the same symbol. This would be their 'date' of the night.

On the farthest left to the entrance, they had dragged in a gigantic music system, with an area for a DJ to run (Tatsuya had helped with the wiring). Some large pieces of metals had been lined up to cover the floor, making a fake stage and on top of that, he had placed various instruments - along with those of his band, of course. The stage would be open for them to play later, regardless.

The main area reserved for food was a few tables that had been dragged in here, covered with whatever tissues they had found and filled with all the food they could take - some of it was typical stuff found in the cafeteria this week (but no gross stuff - Eikichi didn't want living maggots in his cheese today), the rest had been made by those nice enough to help with the cooking. There wasn't that much typical 'party food' as creating your own sweets and chips does take a while, but the jerky meats, the hot soups and the vegetables more than made up for it. The drinks were placed right besides it and who knew how many trips they had needed to set it all up.

There were also cakes on the next table, enough to feed at least everyone in the part a generous slice. Considering the ingredients and the people involved they ranged from the very simple to baked pies using the available fruits, and a single cake which appeared to have more work than the others. They did with what they had, and it was fantastic they had so much at all.

All the chairs and bags found in that room normally were tossed in a corner facing the central area so that people could sit down if they felt like it, but the central area was reserved to talk, mingle and dance once everything REALLY got underway.

It would soon too, once the crowds started to get bigger and bigger.

It had simply started out as a way to meet new people. The Signless was already set with his quadrants and given the time of signing up for the date, he had not known that The Disciple, his one true love, was present in the tower.

However it was a date and he knew there would be someone waiting for him at the location. So he would not stand for tardiness and had arrived on time at the desired location.

He'd find the tall trolless enjoying a bit of drink at a nearby table, bobbing her head to the music and sporting the same symbol on a piece of paper she was holding.

Xue didn't mind the wait, this place was great and the fact that there was music, food, drink and company made it all the better.

He raises his head to glance in the other's direction. His eyes glance quickly at her paper and then to his. He beams at the sight and moves towards her. Politely he taps her shoulder gently and holds up the symbol that was on the paper.

"I believe we are matched, miss?" he inquired as he dropped his hood so she could get a better glance at her date.

Xue smiled and placed one hand on her hip as she looked over her date with curious attention.

"Ah I believe joo be right mon. Considerin' where we be livin' at, I had thought I might get some multi armed, tentacled monstah, but... I be tinkin' I came out pretty well don't'cha tink?"

A slight accent of blush came to his cheeks at the compliment, "I dare say you are looking fine yourself. However, I am not one to judge. If you had been a blob of random form I would have seen you in a equal fashion as I do now. I am what one would consider an alien though. I hope that doesn't concern you?"

Xue chuckled playfully and smiled, "My my, ain't joo da charmin' one eh? It's nice ta hear tings like that ain't dead in oda worlds as well."

At the question, she shook her head and got closer to him. "Naw mon, I have always enjoyed da spice of variety. I welcome all walks of life inta mine, long as dey are pleasant company." She looked at him with a teasing smirk. "I don't tink that will be a problem wit joo mon."

Her accent was odd, but it was comforting. He rarely heard different dialects and when he did it was treat, "It is sad to tell you, but in my world not everyone sees equality in the same way. It is a dream of mine to change their views." He explained.

"Your dialect is quite strange. But it is a good kind of strange, also you look rather different from my own species and the humans located here. May I ask what you are?" He wished to start off with some small talk.

"Eh, ain't dat da case in most places mon? Most peeps don' be likin' bein' equal, let alone if der be different races involved." That was completely true from the world she came from as well.

Xue smiled, "I be a troll, from Azeroth. I met sumone else who said she was a troll, but she was from sumwhere else, actually, joo remind me of her."

"A troll as well. I myself am that species, but we are very different. Am I right in assuming that the troll you met might have been one of my species? There does seem to be quite a few around here, mostly of the younger variety. Which is saddening, I do not wish to see such young ones here in this prison." He explains.

Xue nodded, "She seemed ta be, yeah. She's quite da huntress I'll say dat much. We went huntin' togetha the first day we met. It was quite the successful hunt!"

And fun to be around her she added as an after thought.

He is aware of exactly who she is speaking of. A smile comes to his features and gives a shallow nod, "Yes she is a great hunter. One of Alternia's finest. I do believe you are talking about the Disciple yes?"

"Yeah mon, dat's her! Dizzy's quite proficient fer sure. We got one helluva catch and it lasted quite a bit. I'd be sayin' it was a damn good gals nite out."

He merely smiles at the story knowing oh so well that his companion was capable of just what was described. "That is good to hear she is making the best of her situation here. For that just warms my heart to hear. She is very close to it after all."

"Oh?" Xue raised a curious brow and smirked teasingly.

"Joo seem ta 'ave more n' a ting fer Dizzy mon. She joor gal den?"

Cause that would be pretty cool. Having someone close in this kind of place.

A small blush rises to his cheeks, and he simply smiles at her. His arms come to cross at his chest and he gives a slight nod, "Yes, she is rather close to me. I would say she moves past the entirety of all my quadrants and I am grateful that she is safe here. While it is unfortunate that she is here, I am glad we are here together if I was to make the best out of a situation." He pauses for the moment. "I do not hope this date will be ruined by this new knowledge."

Xue listened with a warm smiled and chuckled at his finished statement before raising a brow, "Joo haven't met a troll gal before huh... Well a troll gal like me dat is." she added with a light laugh.

"Naw mon, if anyting, I be tinkin' it be endearin' ta hear joo talk 'bout yer mate like dat, or yer partnah, whichevah term joo trolls from anotha motha call et."

"Ain't sumtin' as sweet as dat gonna ruin noting unless it be makin' joo or Dizzy uncomfortable mon."

"It shouldn't create any such problem. I just would not want to step on her toes by going to far if something were to happen. Which I am certain nothing will." He grins and lets out a soft breath, "I do not mean to bring up such an awkward topic, but simply she is what we would call a matesprit. However, she is more...I can explain if you wish? However I must warn you that quadrants can get quite long when it comes to their explanation."

Xue leaned forward and grinned mischievously, looking at him with 'bedroom eyes', "Oh? Joo be tinkin' 'bout gettin' all da way to da good stuff mon? Quite brave of ya! I be likin' dat~" she teased before laughing a bit and patting him on the shoulder.

"It be okay mon, don't sweat it right?" she added with a smile and relaxing on her chair once more.

"And of course I be intarested, joo can't go to a good inn without the intention of listening to a good tale mon. Sure dis ain't no inn, but da company be definitely deservin' of listenin'"

He was taken a bit a back by that advance. Even though she was not serious, the action caused his blush to deepen. "While I assume you are quite a lass to be had. I can not court you in that fashion is our lives turned down such a path. Disciple would not be pleased, she would have my head.... It is no laughing matter how literal that statement is. " A slight laugh sounds, but it doesn't last to long and was more for sport.

However, back onto the topic at hand. He gives a quick nod as he jumps to the previous conversation, "Well, thank you for such a compliment dear one. Well to begin there are 4 different quadrants in our culture. Moirails, Matesprits, Kismesis and Auspictice. However I do not follow to them and there is purpose in their being, but my lass and I do not follow suit to the Condescension's cultural ways. "

Xue smirked and raised an eyebrow, "Really mon? She be soundin' more like a fierce troll den, which I can see it bein' too. Orcs in my world are honorable and fierce to the bone, protecting and contesting dat which dey be holdin' dear and close. While sum a' dem follow da clan ways of multiple mates, da ones dat choose one and only one mate are quick ta protect dem from oda females." she pauses, then laughs a little. "Or da males too. Ain't no wrong wit havin' choice."

She smiled nonetheless and nodded, "It be no problem mon, I be undastandin' and respect dat very much."

She listened to the entry explanation and nodded as he went on, "Now, wat exactly be da difference 'tween em mon?" She paused for a moment and then tilted her head in thought. "Why does dat Condasenshun name be soundin' familia'"

"Well...our species is very common to believe in that one and only for each quadrant. So the decision we choose is usually the last. It would be a bad form for me to sleep with another or even oggle...at another." He beams but brushes off the topic once more.

"As for this though I shall start with moirailegence. Which is the bond between two trolls that are destined to be friends. One takes on the task of taking care, calming or controlling the other. While the other might be of a higher blood type might make sure their 'bro' takes care of themselves. It is also a thing of the moirails to discuss feelings and what has been on their minds with one another. Oh a good point to mention is that they are pale and platonic. There is no need for the act of reproduction when it comes to this quadrant."

"Oy, dat be kinda nice. Not really someting fer me, but it be admirable fer sure mon." she replied with a warm smile as she relaxed in order to hear the explanations.

"So it be kinda like friends fer life? I can dig dat mon."

"It is quite nice. I am happy with her and would have no other." The smile never leaves his features once as long as his thoughts are graced with visions of his mate.

"In a way it is, but it's a give and take as it is with any relationship.The next quadrant would be the other pale side and that is an auspistice. This is a quadrant with three different trolls. One being the mediator and the other two being the ones needing to be mediated. Trolls are naturally violent beings so to prevent an overun of kismisis, the other quadrant I will be addressing, there needs to be a mediator to get between the two troll who might not actually hate one another equally."

"Huh, dat one is odd. I don't tink I've evah heard of sumting like it before." Xue said curiously.

"Is dat common den? Havin' dat type of relationship between three different trolls mon?"

"Well one would say that trollmance itself is quite odd. After all when most species, well the species I have met here, live by one quadrant. The idea of a quad romance might...well sound alien." He chuckles at his own joke, trying to bring a smile to a face where he can.

"It is common. Encouraged. The third quadrant is the hand in hand to an auspistice. That one is called the kismisis. Trolls are naturally violent, with the exception of very, very few. However, because of this hate is a common emotion and two trolls that harbor enough hate for one another will form a kismisistude. Which is a sort of rivalry and sexual quadrant as well. One of the two, as it is fact. It is needed for our species to reproduce and for such a quadrant to exist the trolls in question must hate each other equally."
